The way I need THIS WOMAN OH MY GOD. Also, I have the urge to turn this into a one shot book, BUT I CANT. Oh the joys of making a book over a one shot book. 😭

ANYWAY! 😜 This is basically if you were her bodyguard, and if she and her husband had a distant relationship. Also reader is like in their late 30's bc I'm pretty sure she's like 45

Warnings: Fighting, mentions of guns, the eighth episode, ending part but Cassandra survives (bc of you), divorce, cussing

KIND:SAD (sorta, not really good at writing it.)

I swear, 😭 she's so pretty 😭 😭

No one's POV.

You stood next to Cassandra, who was hosting another cocktail party. You were clad in a suit and tie, like usual. Caitlyn was most likely in the shooting range, not wanting to be near another one of her parents stuffy cocktail parties.

Cassandra was talking with Mel, it was always about council things. You could care less and was slightly happy that Cassandra made an exception for you as a zauntie. Well, ex-zauntie at least.

Mel soon left to talk to others at the party, leaving you and Cassandra to your own devices. She looked at you and gave you a smile.

"How are you dear?." She asked, sipping on her champagne.
"I'm doing great lady kiramman. How are you?." You asked, keeping your eyes ahead, even if they were hidden by the sunglasses.
"I'm doing great dear, you know," she paused, finishing her drink and holding it out, a butler came by and took it, and handed her another one. "I don't know, but it feels as if Tobias has been distancing himself lately." She finished.
"Weird, I don't know anything about it m'lady." You said, tensing slightly at the mention of Tobias.

She laughed softly, the sound smooth as a kitten purring. You laughed a little with her, then you felt her lean against you. You let your arm wrap around her waist, keeping your face stoic and neutral.

"Ma'am, what about your husband." You asked and she shook her head, downing the rest of her champagne.
"He's to busy with his hunting, spending time with his friends and distancing himself...this is something I need." She said, letting the butler refill her champagne flute.
"I could treat you better." You said as a joke, she laughed and slipped on the champagne then sighed.
"Is there anything stronger than this.?" She asked, glancing down at the glass.
"Unless you want to go down to the last drop and drink there no we don't." You said, tightening your hold on her when she swayed on her feet and downed the rest.

She let out a groan and huffed, when a butler passed by she snatched the wine bottle from him and gave him a look, which made the butler nod and walk off, pretending like he saw nothing. You laughed and took off your glasses, looking at her.

"Seriously..?" You said, watching her pour a glass herself.
"Yes, 'seriously'." She said, sipping on it. You laughed and put your glasses in the table.
"Wow...never would have thought THE Cassandra Kiramman would be this desperate to forget about her husband for the night." You said, shaking your head.

~•|a week later|•~

A week passed since the night at that cocktail party. Cassandras and Tobias's fights would get bad some nights, making you break them up. You really couldn't deal with those two fighting like two teenagers.

At the moment you stood in front of the door to the council room, you were inside the room this time despite Mel's objections, Cassandra felt safe now that Zaun is getting more and more bold by the day. You stared at the window intently, lost in thought when you saw a...cannon?

And you recognized it as jinx's cannon and immediately sprung into action when the glass broke. You grabbed Cassandra, shielding her from the blast once it went off. There were screams, pained yells and others begging for you to protect them, but you had one goal, one house you were loyal too.

HOUSE KIRAMMAN. And you stuck with that, you made an oath and weren't gonna break it for the sake of others. Enforcers soon arrived, as did Caitlyn and Vi. You were still shielding Cassandra by the time the flames were gone and others that survived were being tended too. Caitlyn ran over, and you held Cassandra tighter, not really wanting to let go.

But reluctantly you let go, letting the mother and daughter embrace.

(Another time skip ik😭)

You were sitting next to Cassandra who was having another hearing check done, it was required now after the explosion so she didn't have to have hearing aids. You saw Tobias walk in and you shook your head, telling him now wasn't the time.

He went over anyway and stood in front of you. "Can we speak, outside?."
You nodded and followed him, stepping outside the room.
"Yeah?, what do you need Mr kiramman." You said, crossing your arms.
"I need you to stop doing whatever it is to my wife it is your doing." He snapped, jabbing a finger at you.
"I'm not doing anything for the record, I'm doing my job. And if you think there's something going on with me and your wife, your delusional." You said back, keeping your face neutral.
He gave you a glare and shook his head. "You're done with this family, hand over the kiramman crest badge and go to where you came." He said and you looked shocked.
"You can't do that, only Lady kiramman has that right." You said, putting a hand over the crest badge you wore.
"I can and I did. So hand it over." He said and you sighed, knowing you didn't have the right to fight back.

Well you did, you just didn't want to. You took the kirammans crest off your arm, the sound of fabric ripping as you handed it to him.

"Be better, Tobias. She still loves you." You said, giving him a glare before glancing at Cassandra, who just walked out.
"Tobias, what is going on here." She said, giving him a look.
"She no longer works at the kiramman estate, dear." He said and you gave her a bow.
"It was lovely working with you Cassandra, you know where to find me if you ever need saving again." You said, before walking off.

That night Tobias and Cassandra got home, a huge fight broke out between the two, it took two other bodyguards to break them apart and get them to cool off.

Later in the morning, Cassandra sent you a letter, which you got through some random teenager on the street in Zaun.

"Dear [Name], oh boy, where do I begin.

It's only been a day and I already miss you, ironic I know.
Tobias and I are getting the divorce, words were said last night that we won't ever take back. I can't believe he did that behind my back, I hope you know, you were the best thing to come into my life. I hope you stay safe down there and I'll be here when you come back.

I'll wait for you, because you're my only exception."

You sighed and looked down, laughing a little and then sat in a curve on street. You looked up at the glittering spirals that you once called home. You then glanced at the bridge and smiled a little.

"I'll wait as well, but...you need time to heal, Cassi." You said to yourself and then grabbed a piece of paper wrote your response back and handed it to the kid. "Give this back to the very person that gave it to you." You said, watching the kid scurry off.

"I'll wait Cassandra, I'll wait as long as you need me too."
