SS closed her eyes once again melting into his touch. "Yes, Cheetah, it is good....if I didn't have to leave...my family....the MPT....and you......"

Still cupping her face, Cheetah cradled her face so that their foreheads touched. Cheetah was struggling, yelling at himself not to cry. He wanted to be strong for his Santu.

"Santuuuu", he sniffled. "This is what you've been waiting. This is your dream."

SS nodded, her eyes still clasped tight.

Her mind floated to the past, to the days of her childhood. She would sit in her worn plastic chair with the squeaky wheels, staring for her hours at her computer screen piling code after code. Her family could never understand her obsession with computing. They never understood her. SS had made it her mission to be a big officer at the Cyber-Crimes handling criminals with her intellect and IQ of computing. But now......

"You deserve this Santu. I know you do." Cheetah drew her head back, staring deep into her eyes. SS could only see the extent of his love, his affection and his warmth for her. "Let me tell you something Santu Ji...I'm proud of you."

He lowered her head and placed a kiss on her forehead, his lips lingering in her presence. He let go of her after a while. Cheetah was still struggling to hold himself together but he composed himself for her. He always believed that his love was greater than anything and what better way to prove it than this.

SS couldn't believe how supportive Cheetah was. She knew that whatever façade Cheetah had now, he was hurting. He was in pain. He was crying. SS knew that she couldn't have asked for a better partner than him. She was still contemplating about her decision.

"But Cheete....how can I leave? The MPT....and you....?"

Cheetah smiled, sniffling back tears. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder, inhaling the fragrant scent of the jasmine flowers, drizzled through the wind.

"You'll never leave me Santuuuu. I'll always be here, waiting...." He said. "And your family....the MPT....they'll be the same. Always waiting. In your heart."

Cheetah knew that he should be upset but he wasn't. He was happy and proud that his lover had gotten her dream job. As he said the words, he knew that it was true. A strange sense of calm lifted over him. He knew that SS would always be in his heart whether they were apart or together. That was the only truth that gave him the strength to move on.

"Cheeteee....I...." she broke down, unable to express herself.

She wrapped herself around him and broke down, her tears wetting his shirt. The pair stood on the bench, embracing the warmth of the other in perfect silence. Their company was enough for them. Their love was rooted deep, this they both knew.

********************************

SS and Cheetah went to work the next day, their bond strengthened by the emotional parting of last night. Cheetah was determined to show his love to her at each step. He wanted to be her support, not her hindrance.

SS knew that it was to be a difficult day. She had decided to tell the MPT, her team about her transfer. Her heart roared in pain, the beating reminding of the stakes.

She nodded at Cheetah, basking in the love of his eyes and veered off to Madam Sir's cabin. She greeted and saluted her all the while wondering of what to say.

Haseena scanned SS's face in shock and surprise. In her time as the SHO of MPT, she had never known SS to be silent. She always knew her to quick-tongued in sarcastic responses. SS always talked first and thought later but the SS standing in front of her now, was different. She was staring at the ground, her eyes fixed yet not firm.
