She was the only warm thing in December. She was a soaring dove that landed harshly against his closed hands. Bill quietly frowns as he looks out the window, his breath louder than his thoughts. Bill: "I wish I could've been.. more open.. I'm sorry. I know I ruined you." he stops typing as he delves deeper into the memory. The memory of his first love

December
As skies fade grey, and the ground frosts into white, her friends stand in a circle in the middle of a heavily frosted forest. Ricky: "Jump!" He yells at Yasmine who squirms from the tree branch. Yasmine: "Fine! I'll kill you after this!" she giggles and gets ready to jump. As they all look above with anticipation, Yasmine jumps off the tree, tumbling in the snow. Yasmine: "Ow! You said the snow would make the fall painless!" She glares at Ricky as she hugs her sore arm from the ground. Ricky rolls his eyes and turns over to Y/n. Ricky: "Your turn to jump babe" he hugs her shoulder. Y/n rolls her eyes and looks down at Yasmine with revulsion. Y/n was a brat. a spoiled princess. a bitch. a little devil. or in other words, she was just an outspoken girl who loved to be beautiful. Regardless of whatever she may have been, people hated her for it. hated her, yet still feared her, and that is why she held such high status at school. she was beautiful, cocky, overly critical, and headstrong. Y/n: "I am not getting my Burberry skirt wet!" she pushes her boyfriend off of her shoulder while he looks at her with disdain. He scoffs, brushing the snow off his arm. Ricky: "God, what is it with you and clothes?!" She looks ahead, staring at the quiet birds perched on the trees nearby as she chooses to ignore his question. Not because she didn't know the answer, but because she knew he wouldn't understand.

She loved shopping. It was the only time she was able to be with her mother. Working long hours and always traveling for business trips, her mother was never around. Every new accessory spent by her mom's hard earned money was cherished deeply by her. Unintentionally, as she grew older she became more and more attached and fixated on materialism. It was a cycle she wouldn't escape by choice. Yasmine pauses to look down at her bag, her eyes squinting. Yasmine: "And is that a Birkin?" she scoffs. Y/n clutches her purse and holds her head high, flipping her perfect hair in defiance. Y/n: "I thought you were too much of a cheapskate to know what a Birkin is.. but I guess not. I'm proud of you for once Yasmine" she huffs. Finally getting up after sitting on the snow, Yasmine approaches her, looking down, which makes Y/n gag to herself. Y/n: "What?" She crosses her arms defensively. Yasmine: "Y/n stop being overly obsessed with your bag. We get it, you like fashion, now how about you jump off the tree like we all agreed to. We'll get you a new necklace if you do" she hugs Y/n close.
