“If you don’t mind, ma’am.” The man Eshaal noticed was observed was in an all-black suit with, his hair slicked to the side with a little face tattoos. She recognized him as Vino from the club with Sienna.
“But the door was opened and I’m here to simply look for a book.” She gave one of her charming smile and batted her lashes in a way that wasn’t too obvious, she looked desperate, more of a – I’m-just-a-girl-fashion.
“You can look for it later. Maybe elsewhere.” He stated than suggested.
“My! I couldn’t possibly. This is the biggest library I’ve had access to in years!” She pretended to speak like one of those American elites in the 90’s. “Believe it or not. I have never gained access to so many books. My father refused to build me one.” She said the last part in a somber tone. His expression stood unshaken.
“I still stand on my word. Please, get out while I’m still being polite.”
She decided to ignore his statement, “Will you please help me look for the book. I think it’s around here. Come!” She took off running deep into the maze of the shelves, and then she heard a sharp, ‘Hey!’ mixed with Spanish obscene words.
“Come back here.” He didn’t see her once he turned over at the aisle she ran into. He let out a string of cusses as he tucked his gun behind him into his belt.
“Oye, Quien es ese!” A deep voice echoed across the room. Eshaal, who was hiding at the side of the shelf Vino was tiptoeing through, nearly had a heart attack hearing the voice. In the process of this, her gown took a peek out, revealing to Vino.
He smirked on seeing it. “No te preocupes por eso!” he yelled back in triumph as he silently tiptoed, nearing small material of dress un-hidden.
Eshaal stood silently and planned out how she’ll take him to the ground. She was nervous but immediately got rid of it as he revealed himself to her. She used her right hand to grab his left and spun him. Vino, who was unsuspecting, easily spun round and in a swift. She jumped on his back and put him in a rear-naked sleeper hold with one arm around his neck and the other behind his head. He was struggling, barely able to yell as she shut her eyes tight, trying her best to put pressure on tightening the side of his neck.
Come on. Come on! She yelled in her head, trying to get him to lose consciousness fast as his hands were still on her arm wrapped around his neck as he silently lost his breath. She put more pressure on his neck, bending him more to the back as she rested on the side of the shelf. As she put more pressure, she felt his muscles go limp and his hand drop to his side. Slowly, she released his neck and jumped off his back with a soft land so her heels don’t make a sound. She used her hand to support his weight and gently place him lying on the ground. She quickly she knelt beside him and checked his heartbeat. She breathed a sigh of relief when she heard beats.
“Vino!” A voice yelled in the distance.
She quickly grabbed both of Vino’s hands and dragged him in between shelves. Then, she pulled off her heels and tied it to her waist with her belt. She quickly grabbed vino’s gun and kept it in her gown pocket. “Vino?” she heard, this time closer.
She peeked a bit through the shelves, and then she saw a man in a white suit, walking between shelves. She retracted her head and waited until she heard another Vino. Just as she heard it she quickly crossed to the next row, hiding by the side of the shelf, she took a peek again and once she didn’t see him, she walked, silently passing rows and making sure he was in sight.
A scream almost escaped her mouth when she saw a body on the ground, head blown to pieces in between two shelves full of books, the books at the bottom stained with splashes of blood and brain gut. She quickly put her hands on her mouth as she looked at the horrendous sight and began to regret her decision to come here. So, Vino could have killed her, too. She could have ended up like him and probably still. The guy in white was still there, and she didn’t know what he would do to her, especially seeing his other in that state.
