"Right well, when you guys get your head out of your asses let me know. I'm going to class." She said before she turned without another word.
Mattheo got up suddenly with his bag and headed out of the Great Hall, for a moment it looked like he was going to follow after Seraphina but Mattheo went in the opposite direction as her at the last second. Their friends left at the table and just sat there and stared at each other.
"Is it just me or are they more temperamental than normal?" Enzo sighed, shaking his head a little.
"They definitely fucking are," Theo said in agreement as he finished his food.
The rest of the morning was rather uneventful for all of them. None of them brought up her interaction with Potter that morning again not wanting to make her any more irritable than she was already. They were doing the same with Mattheo who had been in a worse mood than Seraphina for most of the day. Both of them sat eating lunch, not saying a word as their friends all spoke with one another about the day's classes.
"Miss Avery." Seraphina heard Snape say and looked up as he stood behind Mattheo.
"Come with me," he said glancing at her hand as she just nodded picking her bag up from next to her.
"Yes, sir," Seraphina said to him, she glanced at her friends and just gave them a little nod before she followed Snape out of the Great Hall.
All of her friends looked surprised at Snape's appearance. Except for Mattheo who looked relieved when she walked away from the table with Snape.
"I wonder what that's about," Daphne said frowning a little looking back over at her friends who all shrugged except Mattheo.
"You look pleased with yourself. What did you do?" Blaise asked and Mattheo just shrugged. "I don't know what you're talking about Zabini." He told him, cooly.
Lorenzo and Theo stared at each other not convinced but they didn't want to rock the boat either. Whether Mattheo was involved with that or not it was best not to press him for information. If he was behind it. They knew that Seraphina would make that abundantly clear whenever they saw her next.
Seraphina assumed they were going to Snape's office and frowned a little as they walked into Professor McGonagall's office. She walked in and immediately stopped as she met Potter's face. She walked over to where he was sitting across from McGonagall's desk and sat down in the open chair beside him. She looked over at Harry who gave her a slight smile before looking back at McGonagall. Seraphina could tell just by looking at him that he didn't have a clue what was happening either. Snape walked over and stood next to McGonagall and nodded to her.
"Well, thank you both for joining us." McGonagall started and Seraphina messed with the hem on the sleeve of her robe as McGonagall spoke.
"I'm sure you both are wondering what you are doing here. I want to stress that you aren't in trouble." She told them both, Seraphina and Harry just nodded a little to her.
"It's come to our attention that something nefarious might have taken place while you were both serving your detention with Professor Umbridge last night," Snape explained and Harry and Seraphina just looked over at each other. They both were trying to figure out which one of them said something after their conversation this morning, but neither of them had.
"As both of your heads of house, it's imperative that we know what's happening so we can ensure that Professor Umbridge is prescribing to the approved disciplinary practices to her students." McGonagall continued, trying to broach the subject as subjective as she could but the idea that Umbridge could be hurting students right under their noses did not sit well with her or Professor Snape.
