"No, absolutely bloody not," Pansy said as Lorenzo grabbed Mattheo and Blaise grabbed Theodore.
Mattheo went to shove Lorenzo off before he realized it was him, he still scowled and tried to remove Lorezno's grip on his arm. He looked back as Seraphina giggled and followed Evan up the stairs toward the boy's dormitory. Something about the sight of her made his stomach sick. He couldn't believe that she was going up to Evan Roiser's dorm. They had only been down there for about an hour, Mattheo couldn't believe she was just going to leave them all down there like that. He turned his attention to Theodore who was arguably much more upset than he was. Theodore's face was beat red and his fists were clenched at his sides.
"She's waited all summer for this I'm not about to have you two ruin it for her," Pansy said standing in front of them with her hands on her hips. A few people had turned to see the commotion. Mattheo's eyes flicked back up at Seraphina, as if on cue she'd turned and looked down at her friends.
Her eyes looked analyzing the situation and Evan gave her hand a little squeeze. She looked back at him and smiled as the butterflies fluttered in her chest. He was looking at her with soft eyes and a playful smirk on his face that Seraphina wouldn't be forgetting anytime soon. He took her hand, giving it a little squeeze before continuing to walk her up the steps. She very quickly forgot the commotion happening with her friends and put all her focus on Evan as they reached the top of the steps. She laughed as he dragged her down the hall to his dorm. As soon as they went to his room he pulled her inside, kicking the door shut with his foot.
As soon as Seraphina had disappeared at the top of the steps Lorenzo let go of Mattheo who was still glaring at the steps waiting for her to appear again. He still couldn't believe that she had gone so willingly. Mattheo looked over at Theodore as he shoved Blaise off him.
"Whatever, let's go for a smoke," Theodore said bitterly, he glanced up at the stairs again hoping that she would come running back down.
"She's just a girl, mate," Mattheo said just as bitterly putting his hand on his shoulder.
"Not even that, it's just fucking Avery. Look around and take your pick." Mattheo said as his eyes scanned the rest of the girls in the common room. As soon as his anger had surfaced it was gone and he remembered that it was just Seraphina. If she wanted to get played by Rosier then who was he to stop her? He'd never cared about the guys that Seraphina had been with before, he didn't plan on starting now. Mattheo drained the rest of his cup and gestured for Theodore to do the same.
Theodore on the other hand was still fuming but drained his cup before setting it down, shaking his head at Mattheo's comment. To him, Seraphina was just a girl he'd known for his whole life but not for Theodore. He kept glancing back up at the steps but each time that he did the pit in his stomach just consumed him more. He's realized his feelings for Seraphina over the summer but didn't account for someone else grabbing her attention in the meantime. He was just annoyed that he had lost his chance before he even got it.
"I'm fucking serious, let's go for a smoke," Theodore said to Mattheo who was now staring down a sixth-year girl on the other side of the room.
He grabbed his shoulder and Mattheo reluctantly followed, not before sending the girl a wink. He would be coming back for her after he had gotten Thedore to relax and realize it was stupid for him to be upset about Seraphina of all people.
Lorenzo, the most level-headed of the three sighed as he walked the both of them to the door of the common room. He knew that they both needed fresh air and a change of environment. If either of them stayed any longer he knew that there was a good chance that Theodore at the very least, would go right up to Rosier's room and beat the door down. Getting on Rosier's bad side of all people, wouldn't have made for a good start to term. Lorenzo was handing the two of them each a cigarette as they walked through the door to the common room.
