"Can I have a word with you actually?" Harry asked him after a short pause, avoiding all of her friends whose glares now turned to slight confusion.
"If you have something to say to her, Potter you can say it in front of us." Draco piped up Theo nodded in agreement.
"Ignore them," Seraphina said glancing at her friends who were now staring at her perplexed. Mattheo looked over at them for the first time as Seraphina turned to glare at them before she walked away with Potter.
Theo watched them walk away before looking back at his friends "Che cazzo." He swore bitterly. "Now I'm competing with Potter too?" He said looking back at them in disbelief. Rosier he understood completely, but Potter? That was inconceivable to him.
"Nott, you have to be playing the game to compete," Pansy said to him and Theo just rolled his eyes as he slumped slightly.
"That line I mentioned yesterday is only going to get longer the more you wait." She urged him, but Theo didn't look convinced.
"He's afraid of getting rejected by her," Enzo said with a laugh, he still thought it was ridiculous.
"If it was anyone else you'd already be snogging her in an empty corridor by now," Blaise said
looking over at Seraphina and Harry before looking back at Theo who was now just scowling.
"I'm eating, can we please not talk about Theo snogging Avery? I'd like to keep my breakfast down." Mattheo said annoyed rolling his eyes, it was the last thing wanted to think about right now. He took another bite of his food, not taking his eyes off Avery as she spoke with Potter.
"I don't understand what the new fascination is with her anyway. It's just Avery for Merlin's sake." Mattheo said watching her movements closely as she walked with Potter.
"Oh come on, Riddle. You're barking if you really believe that." Draco said looking over at him with an exasperated.
"I really don't see it," Mattheo said picking up his glass and taking a sip, he still hadn't taken his eyes off Seraphina and Potter.
"Right well. Aside from her growing like four inches taller and in other obvious places this summer. You should have seen her on the Quidditch pitch this morning, she took her training this summer seriously. She's more confident than ever," Draco explained getting an eye roll from Mattheo and a scowl from Theo.
"I'd say that confidence extends even off the Quidditch pitch," Blaise interjected as they all turned to see her smirking at a nervous Harry Potter.
"For someone who says they don't see the fascination you've been staring at her since she came down here you know. I don't think you've even blinked once since she walked away with Potter." Pansy smirked teasingly at Mattheo who was not amused in the slightest. Even though Pansy had called him out for staring at Seraphina he didn't take his eyes off her for a second.
"I'm just making sure Potter doesn't try anything funny with her. It doesn't mean I understand why everyone's drooling over her" He said matter of factly, as he watched them talk. He tilted his head slightly when he noticed that Potter and Avery were both wearing the same bandage on their left hands.
"How'd she hurt her hand?" Mattheo asked Draco and Blaise since they were the ones who were at Quidditch practice with her this morning.
"Must've happened when Crabbe knocked off her broom with his bat," Draco said with a little shrug as Theo looked at him flabbergasted at how calm he was.
"What do you mean he knocked her off her broom with his bat, Malfoy?" Theo said looking over at the blond-haired boy who shifted uncomfortably under Theo's gaze.
