"Welcome to W. My name is Wyatt. Let me show you around."
"Hi." I say quickly and flash a smile.
I notice his hair and neatly trimmed beard is a mix between light brown and blond with dark blue/green eyes.
"This is you." He points to a huge frosted glass reception desk with the letter W in the middle in white cursive. Everything in this place is made up of either clear glass or frosted glass.
"You can leave your bag here and I'll show you where everything else is."
I nod and follow Wyatt as he makes his way through double frosted doors on the left of the reception. We enter a long corridor with glass walls on either side.
Looking through the glass walls I notice it's a bunch of offices with no one inside.
"Here we have our editors all lined together. And on your right here we have a couple of boardrooms where we conduct our meetings."
He carries on walking and we walk into a huge open area doors on the left.
"This is the basic common area with the kitchen and bathrooms as per their respective signs. That door is my office which leads directly onto the door right behind your desk." He points to a single door on the right.
I look around and notice every room has glass walls with the bottom being frosted up until about shoulder high. Except for the bathrooms and Wyatt's office which has solid white walls.
"If you follow me we will head back in reception." I follow him down the corridor and walk through the double doors again.
"Any questions?" He stops in front of my desk and fixes his navy suit. I stand by my desk in front of him and look down at the laptop.
"Uhm-"
"-Mr Whitner."
"Mr Miller."
"Apologies, Sir. Did not see you had company."
"Apology accepted." Wyatt has a stern yet soft look.
"This is Miss Sage Adley. Our new addition."
"Oh hi Miss Adley! Welcome! I am Thomas Miller" Thomas stretches his hand out and I accept the gesture.
"Thank you." I reply with a shy smile.
"Sir, You are early today?"
"I am here at six am every day. Thankfully so otherwise Miss Adley would have been waiting outside for an hour and half."
"Oh, very punctual. I like that."
"Wait. We start at nine?" I ask confused.
Thomas nods.
"Oh I am sorry Mr Whitner."
"No need to apologize. If you need anything you are most welcome to either call myself or Mr Miller. That will be adequate with you Mr Miller?"
"Yes Sir. No problem at all. My door is always open."
"Thank you. Now, if you would excuse me. I'll be in my office. I'll call you for a meeting shortly Miss Adley."
Wyatt smiles at me and proceeds towards the door behind the reception.
I look at Thomas, dressed in neat dark pants, a light gray button shirt with a dark tie. His hair and eyes light brown.
I look at my black flowy knee length dress.
Maybe I am under dressed?
"So, Sage... where are you from?"
