~•The trip ° Part-1•~

The sports period started. Shivani and Sid were already on the ground waiting for their classmates to come.
Shivani was still embarrassed about the fact that she checked Sid out. The sports head in charge with other sports teachers arrived on the ground.

The weather today was quite chilly, as autumn is in full swing. The temperature was low, and there was a cool wind blowing. The sun wasn't too bright, but overall, the weather was great for this time of year. Bright, all in one the weather was great today.
That's the reason that the sports period was being held in the ground.
Soon the classmates arrived on the ground.

Students all together:
"Good afternoon teachers!"

Mr.Karan(head in charge of sports):
"Good morning kiddos!! There are still 3 minutes left before the afternoon to begin." He said while looking at his watch.

Once again, he arrives right on time, effortlessly highlighting our lack of punctuality. It's a consistent trait of his that has been evident from the very beginning.

Mr.Karan:
"Okay, okay, kids, stop making that face. There's an important announcement to make! We are having a trip to Gujrat. Because our main school branch is there and we are celebrating our school's 56th anniversary on 21st November. Only the high school students will be joining the celebration."

He continued further,

"Also while the celebration is going on, there will be a basketball competition between all the branches. It will be a friendly match and both girls and boys will have different teams. Make sure to give your names to Shivani or Sidhaarth, and the preparation will be starting from this evening. "

He said while encouraging the sports enthusiasts,

"Also, we will be leaving for Gujrat by the 19th of November and the stay will be of 4 nights and 5 days. Those who wanna join the trip, inform your homeroom teacher accordingly."

Everyone was excited after listening to the announcement. They started cheering like there was no tomorrow. They should be after this trip is going to be one the best trips, because of the celebration of school anniversary. They all waited for this chance to come to high school and attend this trip. And now the trip is only 6 days away.

While everyone was excited and enjoying, Shivani and Sid had their faces tensed up,

Shivani's Pov:
While Karan sir announced about the trip and the match I was lost in my thoughts. Thinking about the match because I was scared to be paired up with someone stupid, just like last time. I was paired up with a totally stupid boy who couldn't even do a single basket and basic dribblings. If, I don't want someone like him again. As I was lost in my thoughts I hear sir calling my name,

Mr. Karan:
"Sidhaarth and Shivani! Come meet me in the office. Others continue with their sports period."

He left for the office. Me and Sid followed him from behind while walking my mind again got stuck on what happened previously. Ufff! It's so embarrassing. Sid suddenly stopped, looked at me, and said

Sid:
"Hey sweetheart, I guess we should continue where we left off before"
He said with a smirk

Shivi:
"Want sir to make you run 10 laps of ground again? On top of the first day of high school only?"

Sid:
"Alright alright! You know how to run away from the topic very well."

Soon, we reached the Head sports office. I knocked on the door, asking for permission to come in. Sir replied,

Mr.Karan:
"Come inside both of you"

After hearing him we both went inside.

Mr.Karan:
"Look, I know you guys don't get along well. But, for this trip and basketball match, I need both of you to work together and handle everything."

Shivi:
"Sir, what?!! Pleasee sir nooo!!"

Sir continues,

"Listen to me first Shivani. The selection of the participants in basketball and trip management everything will be handled by both of you. And this match might be friendly, but it gets marked in the history of the celebrations, so we gotta win no matter what. And I know both of you are national athletes in basketball. So this time I request you both to work together as a great pair and lead our team."
