Making her way towards the stairs, she saw Frank and Liam who had spent the day with Franks grandad.

"Hey Frank, how's grandad Matthews?" She asked. She had gone with Frank quite a lot to visit his granddad. He was always so sweet and funny.

Frank grinned. "He's good!" He nodded his head, but before he could continue, he was cut off by Liam.

"What happened to you?" Liam laughed, finally looking towards her. Marlene had lettuce stuck in her hair, sauce covering her t-shirt, and a grease strain which resembled a burger on her trousers.

Marlene chuckled, walking over to the two plus Mike and Gina. "It was an eventful dinner." Marlene shook her head, noticing the watch in Franks hands. She recognized it as Franks Grandads.

She remembered him showing it to her the last time she visited. "Is that your grandads watch?" She asked Frank, wanting to make sure.

Frank nodded his head excitedly. "He gave me it today."

"Woah." Marlene awed. "That's so cool." She said whilst Mike called Tracy over.

"It was his great great great granddads." Gina explained.

Liam shook his head. "Nah, see that's where your wrong Gina." He lifted his hand to his face. "It was his great great great great grandfathers."

Marlene chuckled. "Actually, I'm pretty sure it was his great great great great great grandfathers, Liam." She shrugged. "So you're wrong as well." She said making the group break out into laughter once more.

"Tell me about your visit to your grandads later." Marlene said to Frank. "I really need to get this lettuce out or my hair."

The next morning, chaos seemed to be ten times worse than the day before. When everyone woke up, they were quick to realize something they deeply cared about was missing.

When Marlene woke up earlier that morning, the first thing she noticed was her mother's jewelry box open. After looking inside, she was quick to realize her mother's favorite necklace was no longer there.

Everyone had gathered at the bottom of the stairs, Mike and Gina blocking anyone from going up. It hadn't taken long to piece together that Carmen was the one who had took their belongings.

"No, listen..." Mike called, trying to stop them from shouting. "Guys, stop. This isn't working!"

They showed no signs of backing down. "No, you know what's not working for me." Marlene yelled. "Her putting her slimy paws on my mums jewelry."

The yelling continued for several more minutes. "Quite!" Gina finally yelled, successfully shutting them all up. "I will explain everything, without any interruptions." Gina said, sounding calmer this time.

Marlene hadn't even noticed Tracy coming in with all the chaos. It wasn't until she followed Gina's eye line did she finally see her.

"All the children have had something stolen from them, including Frank's pocket watch." Gina explained. "And now Carmen has gone and barricaded herself in her room and she won't talk to anybody."
