If you asked Marlene what her relationship with Liam was like, she'd say it was okay. The two hadn't really hung out alone together and seemed to only really hang out when Frank was around.
But when Liam comes back from yet another foster home and...
"Right, well, I'll see you later then." Marlene said, not even sparing him a glance as she got up and followed after the younger girl.
"What? I don't have to leave right now!" Jack called after her, but it was useless. She didn't even turn around to acknowledge him.
Rolling his eyes, he got up and made his way out. He could find something better to do anyways.
"Tee!" Marlene called. "Tee!" But the younger girl still ignored her. "Tee Taylor if you ignore me one more time..." This was enough to make her turn around. "You want to talk about it?"
"Johnny doesn't want me to be his sister anymore." Tee shrugged. "He said he wants us to get fostered separately."
Marlene furrowed her eyebrows. That didn't make sense. Yes, Johnny was overbearing, way to protective, and felt like he had the right to control Tee whenever he felt suitable but it came from a good place. It came from a place of trying to protect her. Before care, it's what he had to do so his step dad wouldn't turn on Tee and it was a habit he was struggling to grow out of.
But he did this because he loved his sister, so for him not to want them to be fostered together, it didn't make sense. "I don't understand." Marlene shook her head. "Why wouldn't Johnny want you both to get fostered together?"
Tee shrugged. "Don't know, don't care." She said, looking unbothered. "If he doesn't want a sister anymore, fine. He doesn't have one."

Dinner was soon called, Marlene sat in front of Carmen who was poking her fork in and out of her burger.
"That's Lily's seat." Carmen said, stopping Tee from sitting down next to her.
Marlene frowned. "Tee, you can sit next to me if you want." She suggested.
Tee groaned. "I'm not Tee!" She told her.
"Right, well whoever you are." Marlene said, rolling her eyes. "You can sit next to me."
She nodded and began making her way around the table before Johnny stopped her. "Tee, why did you mess up my room?" He asked her.
"I didn't mess up your room." Tee told him, a glare taken place on her face. "Why would I do that - stranger boy?"
Marlene looked at the boy sympathetically. He looked upset, and she couldn't blame him. Marlene wasn't sure what had gone on between them the two, but it was clear whatever it was, it was as really bothering Johnny.
"Are you okay, Gus?" Marlene asked Gus, who had harshly pulled out the chair next to her, and sat in it looking annoyed.
Gus shook his head, he said nothing and Marlene knew this meant he wasn't ready to talk about it. She nodded her head, leaving him be.
It wasn't long until the next argument set off. "What? Were you spying on me?" Sapphire asked, storming into the kitchen, Harry trailing behind her. Her glare was set on Carmen.
