If you asked Marlene what her relationship with Liam was like, she'd say it was okay. The two hadn't really hung out alone together and seemed to only really hang out when Frank was around.
But when Liam comes back from yet another foster home and...
"Frank, I've already told you." Liam said, looking towards Frank who hadn't giving up. "I've got nothing to sell. All my stuff's junk."
"Yeah, you're right." Frank said, chucking one of Liam's shoes back onto the floor. Marlene snorted.
Jack looked to Marlene confused. "Can't your care workers not just buy you a new one?" He asked.
It was moments like these where Marlene realized just how much more privileged Jack was compared to her.
Liam, who had overheard snorted. "Yeah, and whilst we're at it, how about we ask for a new boat as well?" He said, rolling his eyes.
Marlene smirked at him before turning to Jack. "That's not how it works here. We can't just ask for things like new tvs."
Jack nodded his head, still not completely getting why they couldn't just ask, but figured he'd be better dropping the subject altogether."
"Oh, yes!" Frank grinned, opening Liam's wardrobe.
"Carmen's old beanbags, who's going to buy them?" Liam asked, shaken his head.
Marlene felt bad. "You know, someone might?" She tried, smiling at Frank who grinned at her.
"Well, we haven't got anything else." Frank reminded Liam.
Picking up a book and inspecting it, Liam looked to Frank. "We haven't... but I know someone who has."
Marlene rolled her eyes, if Liam was coming up with a plan, it was sure to end in disaster. Grabbing Jacks hand, she pulled him out of the pink room and into hers.
"So this is your room?" Jack asked once she closed the door. He'd never been in her room before, in fact this was the first time he'd ever actually been in her house.
When the two were working on their project together, Marlene insisted it was better to do it at his house considering the amount of people in hers.
"Well, mine and Saffs." She corrected, sitting on her bed.
"Cool." Jack nodded his head, sitting next to her end wasting no time before he began to kiss her.

It was later that day, and after barding in on the two mid makeout, Frank had dragged Marlene and Jack outside to help with his and Liam's plan.
It was a silly one really, sillier than usual and Marlene didn't have the heart to tell him that. Liam, of course had came up with the brilliant idea to store Tracy's books for her, and in return they'd get paid.
"Do the maths, Frank?" Liam was saying as Marlene and Jack joined them, waiting outside. "Tracy's paying us two pound per week to look after some books." He said, folding his arms. "How long do you think it'll take us to save for a new tv?"
Frank began counting on his fingers, Marlene and Jack shared a look before a car horn caught their attention.
"Oh, yeah." Liam said, hearing it as well. "Ages, but don't worry, I've got something in mind." He finished as Cam and Tracy pulled up. "Hi."
