If you asked Marlene what her relationship with Liam was like, she'd say it was okay. The two hadn't really hung out alone together and seemed to only really hang out when Frank was around.
But when Liam comes back from yet another foster home and...
"Oh!" Liam gasped. "What can we have? New tv set?" He asked, hopefully, rubbing his hands together.
"And dvd player?" Frank joined in.
Marlene snorted at them both. As if.
This seemed enough however for Toby to add in his request. "Can I have some comics?" He asked.
"No." Tracy told them, shrugging. "If gold stars are enough for Johnny, they're enough for everyone."
Before she could continue, there was a loud bang shortly followed by Harry's voice. "Tracy!" He called.
"Coming!" She yelled back. "Better get a move on, you lot." She said, turning back to those at the table.
Waiting until Tracy was out of ear shot, Liam leaned over to Johnny. "If you hadn't said anything, we could have had something better then stupid gold stars."
Marlene snorted. "Like what? A new tv?" She chuckled. "Could have gotten something a bit better I suppose." She shrugged.
"What do you want baby stars for?" Carmen asked, clearly confused.
Johnny glared at her. "Just do, alright."
"Okay, well you can have all my stars, if you do all of my chores." Carmen suggested, grinning at the idea of not having to do chores.
This idea seemed great to Liam, who immediately agreed. "Oh! Me too!" This seemed to set off a chain reaction, everyone else at the table giving up their stars in return for the boy to do their chores.
Once everyone else, minus Marlene had left the table, Johnny turned to her hopefully.
"Johnny, I'm saying this in the kindest way possible. It don't matter how many stars you have in your file, it doesn't make a blind difference. It's not going to make anyone want to foster you anymore or any less."
Johnny ignored this. "Come on, Marlene!" He begged. "I'll do all your chores, I promise."
Marlene shook her head, standing up. "I'm perfectly capable of doing my own chores, thank you very much." She began to walk out. "Just remember Johnny, this was your decision, leave Tee out of it."

"What are you two up to?" Marlene asked, walking into Liam's room, Jack walking behind her.
"Trying to find something to sell." Frank explained, looking around Liam's room.
Jack looked around confused. "Why are you trying to sell stuff?" He asked, confused.
Marlene rolled her eyes. "They're after a new tv." She explained.
