𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐃 dripped down my chest, the rain falling onto my skin. Maison groaned in pain as I kicked home to the floor. "My brother" I growled as I straddled his waist. "You have betrayed our family" I snarled as I grabbed a knife, grinding it into his skin as he screamed out in pain.

"Forgive me for I have sinned" He cried as I smirked, sliding the knife down his body, slicing his clothes as blood dripped down his chest, seeping through his shirt, "Please forgive me" He pleaded.

I cut my hand, placing it on his heart as I slit his throat. "Your sins are forgiven" I whisper as the colour drains from his face, the rain pounding down on me and Maison's dead body.

"Not bad" My father smirks as I threw him the knife, he caught it in between his palms, tucking it into his right pocket on his black suit pants. "You showed to much mercy" He crouches down so he's at my level, the first thing I was taught as a child was about the 'Divinities', we were a cult, a family, brothers.

A divinity betrays there brothers it costs them there life, I was raised in our church, we free people of there sins by killing them, show no mercy to those who craved the afterlife.

"I didn't show any mercy" I growled as I stood up, rain dripping down my face as I titled my head to the side. "Why would I show mercy to a traitor?" I spat, my fists clenching at my sides.

Yeah he was apart of my family, did he betray us? Yes.

In our family we had ceremonies for our men and there ladies, it was strictly forbidden to have a woman as a Divinity. The men could have as many ladies as they wanted, not me. I had been in an arranged marriage with this woman, Kasia Avery. I didn't like her at all, my aim was to have my father's approval, scrambling for it for everything I did.

"He was your brother" My father grins as he put his arm around my shoulders guiding me back inside the church, blood still dripping down my chest as I winced in pain.

"A betrayer" I growled as he forced me back into my bedroom, slamming the door on me as I slid my shirt off, rolling my eyes. "Fuck this" I muttered as I began cleaning my wound, applying bandages around it as I slid some sweats on lying in bed.

Tomorrow would be my first day back at the academy. Fucking great.

"𝐃𝐎 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐘?" My mother says for about the fortieth time today. I nodded as I continued eating my toast. My father stormed out, my brother following behind him. My parents were happily married, I got bullied during high school for my father apparently being a murder. I knew he had his reasons.

My father didn't look like the friendliest person at all, he was covered in scars and tattoos but apparently my mother made him stop killing and fighting years ago as she didn't want to be in a relationship with him because of it.

"Okay I'm going" I stood up as I grabbed my backpack, my father hugging me tightly, I felt I was being suffocated in his hold. "I love you" I say to him as he kissed on top of my head, saying those words back as my mother does the same.

I got into a taxi, coming up to the academy, I got out of the car walking into the building. It wasn't what I thought it would be at all, there were people fighting everywhere, a man stood tall at the end of the corridor.

Beautiful blue eyes, sharp jawline, stubble, a black compression shirt that showed off his muscles from all angles. He had his arm wrap around a blonde woman's shoulders making me scowl as the fight that was happening approached me.

I was pulled out of the way by a girl, she was truly beautiful and she smiled at me as she pulled me to the over end of the corridor. "Im Ansley" She reached out her hand to me, I was hesitant at first. The man I had saw before walking past her, one of the other guys he was with pushed me and Ansley against the lockers. The one I was staring at turned his head back to me, smirking as he continued to walk with his group.

"Thats Damon Archer" Ansley says as she recovers from her fall. "The woman is his future wife" She adds, wiping her eyes as I fold my arms. I tilted my head, biting my lower lip.

"How does he know who he will marry?" I asked, still looking at the he left from. She let out a laugh as we both walked to class.

"He's apart of a cult, the Divinities" She says, holding her books in one hand and her bag in the other. "He hasn't chosen his lady, it was forced upon him by his father" She adds as I rolled my eyes, the bell rang as we entered our classroom, taking our seats.

We were roaming the halls on our lunch, the fighting hadn't calmed down at all, apparently Damon got into a fight with another guy from their cult

We were roaming the halls on our lunch, the fighting hadn't calmed down at all, apparently Damon got into a fight with another guy from their cult. I thought it was all a load of shit. Do they kill people? Do they sacrifice people? Do they torture people? There's no way they could get away with it now.

"Is it a lie?" I asked, tilting my head, biting my nails as Ansley shook her head, eating her sandwich.

"It's all true, apparently there's a party at there church" She grins as I rolled my eyes, shaking my head. "Oh come on, don't tell me you don't love parties" She slapped my shoulder playfully as I laughed.

"At a church?" I repeated, digging my nails into my wrist as she nods. "Why would they have a party at a church?" I added, she let out a hard laugh, again.

"Its the church of the Divinities"
