The next morning, Marlene was feeling extremely happy. Now that the shock of yesterday had finally worn off, she was able to be happy about her new relationship.

"Watch it bad luck boy, that could have been a black cat." Liam joked when Toby tripped over a stool in the kitchen.

"Shut up." Toby huffled, barging past Marlene.

Marlene looked to Liam confused. "What was that about?" She asked, grabbing the bread so she could make toast.

"Haven't you read Tracy's latest?" He laughed, passing her the paper over.

Marlene read through it quickly, throughout her Column Tracy had made Toby into a complete and utter joke. Joking about how he should be called "bad luck boy."

Marlene shook her head. "That's disgusting." She muttered. "Toby told her how he felt in confidence and she's gone and made it into a joke." She finally met Liam's eyes. "And you making fun of him? How would you like it if next time Tracy wrote about your mum abandoning you. How would you like it if she made that into a joke, calling you "unwanted boy""

Liam's eyes softened, feeling guilty. He hadn't thought about that. Making his way out of the kitchen to apologize, Marlene began to follow when they both came to a stop.

"The curse of the mummy... wooo!" Tee joked, wiggling her fingers in Toby's face before walking off.

Johnny, following her smirked. "The curse of no mummy..." he joked.

Marlene's fist rolled into a ball before she lunged towards the boy. Who did he think he was? He had no idea what is was like to lose a mum.

"Lena, stop." Liam quickly caught on to her, pulling her away. "He's not worth it." He said, watching as Johnny ran.

"Toby." Liam tried once Marlene had shrugged him off. Looking at the older boy, Toby glared before running up stairs to his room.

Liam ran after him, Marlene figured it was best to give the two time. Heading into the living room, she sat down.

"You're all laughing now, but wait until Tracy writes about one of you next." She said, glaring turning to Johnny, her glare seemed to worsen. "Maybe next she'll write about angry boy Johnny who's mum preferred abusive boyfriends then her own children." She shrugged.

"What did you just say!" Johnny yelled, standing up.

Marlene copied him. "You heard." She said, pushing his shoulder. "I mean, making fun of his dead parents is low, even for you." She scoffed. "What's wrong? You don't like when someone makes fun of your parents?"

Johnny looked away, sitting back down next too Tee. He knew better then to start a fight with Marlene, especially when she was this angry.

"Tracy, because you wrote Toby was bad luck boy, I've found some things out..." Gus explained, as he and Tracy entered the room. "Black cats are unlucky, but also really lucky..."

Tracy cut Gus off. "You read my column?" She asked, shocked.

Gus nodded. "Everyone did."

"And that's why you all took the micky out of him." She sighed. "Great!"

Sapphire turned to her, looking her up and down before glaring. "Well, you wrote it." She reminded her.

"I was being ironic." Tracy shook her head. Noticing the multiple confused looks she was receiving she corrected herself. "Funny."

Closing her magazine, Sapphire sat up to look at the older woman. "Expect his mum and dad were killed in a car crash..."

"What?" Tracy asked, confused.
