If you asked Marlene what her relationship with Liam was like, she'd say it was okay. The two hadn't really hung out alone together and seemed to only really hang out when Frank was around.
But when Liam comes back from yet another foster home and...
"Gus, you can't climb over the bed, you'll get hurt." Marlene rolled her eyes, pulling Gus back from where he stood trying to get his leg over the bed. "Couldn't you lot not wait till later to do this? Some of us wanted to sleep."
Carmen rolled her eyes, "just because you were up half the night on the phone to your boyfriend, don't mean the rest of us were."
The arguing only seemed to get louder, each person ignoring Gina's attempts to calm them down. Well, ignoring her until she began to yell. A yelling Gina is not someone you ignore. "What are you doing?" The room immediately fell silent, everyone's eyes going wide. "Huh?"
"You were supposed to wait until Tracy helps you move room!" She yelled, pointing towards Carmen before catching the smug look Marlene shot the younger girl. "And you should have been up hours ago."
Marlene shrunk slightly, the smug look no longer on her face. Even she wasn't stupid enough to anger Gina more than she already was.
"She did wait!" Lily explained, defending Carmen.
"But Tracy never turned up!" Carmen continted, clearly annoyed at the new care worker. Marlene couldn't really blame her.
Tracy had only been working at elmtree house for less then a week and already she'd been breaking promises left right and center. She'd never once turned up on time, she never helped make lunch or dinner and Marlene was 90% sure she had been missing her college classes.
"She never does anything she's supposed to." Johnny agreed.
Marlene nodded her head, "she always says she'll help us with stuff but is never here to actually help."
"Help!" Frank called out, his hand reaching from behind the wall, catching everyone's attention. He'd somehow managed to get stuck between the mattress and the wall.
Marlene snorted, grabbing his hand and helping to pull him from Inbetween the wall and mattress. Once he was free, she left to go and get dressed realizing she wasn't getting anymore sleep that morning.

Marlene was in the laundry room, her chores for that morning was helping Frank and Gina do the laundry. She didn't actually mind helping out with the laundry, cleaning soothed her in a way. As long as she wasn't forced to do it, she actually enjoyed cleaning.
She figured this came from the fact that after her mother died her house was always in a mess. Never cleaned, dirty laundry lying everywhere accompanied by empty beer bottles.
Things were different here. Gina made sure the house was always clean and tidy, (well as tidy as it could be when a bunch of kids lived there) there was rarely any dirty laundry and there most definitely wasn't any empty beer bottles.
"Hmm, come on." Gina muttered, putting the now folded towel that Marlene had passed her into its proper pile.
"Just had social services on the phone." Mike came in, catching the threes attention. "Liam's coming back."
