"Good for you, man." I patted his shoulder.
"Hey, Camden, how's your head?" Winnie smirked.
Zoe stifled a laugh and Camden rolled his eyes.
"It's fine, thank you."
"What happened?" I asked.
"I don't want to talk about it."
"He passed out when I went into labor and hit his head on the floor," Zoe explained. "And another nurse had to come in and make sure he didn't have a concussion."
Camden sat back in his chair and pouted. Then he stood up and took Esther from Winnie and sat back down.
"Don't drop her." Winnie teased.
"Oh my god, leave me alone." He shook his head at her.
It was nice to see that hadn't changed. Sure, we were all adults now with houses and jobs and a baby, but you could see the teenage maturity still lingered. Their friendship hadn't diminished whatsoever in these past seven years.
And I missed all of it. Throughout my entire childhood I was thrown from home to home in the foster system. Then I finally find some happiness; I finally find people I consider family, and once again I was ripped from their grasp. I tried to distract myself and remember that I was home.
"So, does she have a middle name?" I asked Camden.
"Yeah. It's Rosie." He beamed down at the bundle in his arms.
I looked at my friends. They were all so happy. I looked at the Hawkins. The amount of joy on their faces while looking at their little girl was unmistakable. It was pretty amazing; I got to see my best friend who I've known since we were four, fall in love and start this perfect little family. I was so happy for them. Winnie had become a very successful lawyer. She was good at her job and she loved it. Even though she was no longer engaged, you couldn't see a difference in her happiness. The three of them had gone from these terrified teenagers always on edge, to these happy, successful adults in just a few short years.
I felt very much like the odd one out. I've definitely felt better in the few months I've been back, but that's about it. I got low grades in high school, and then I couldn't get into any good colleges, and the last straw was when I failed three times when trying to get into any kind of police academy. If only I hadn't left, I wouldn't have missed so much.
I missed everything. I missed junior and senior prom. I missed everything. I missed graduating high school with my best friends. I missed everything. I missed Zoe and Camden's wedding. I missed everything. I missed my Willow. I missed everything. I missed being happy. I missed everything. I had to leave and Winnie found someone else. I missed everything. I missed everything. I missed everything.
I choked back a sob and the room began to spin. I had to stop myself from falling out of the chair. Once the room had stopped spinning, I got up and walked towards the door.
"Noah, are you okay?" Winnie asked.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine. I'll be right back."

When I walked back into the room, the three of them stopped talking. I noticed that Camden and Winnie had switched places; Winnie was in the chair and Camden was sitting on the bed next to Zoe, still holding Esther.
"Are you sure you're alright, Noah?" Camden looked at me sadly.
"Yeah. Winnie, we should go soon."
"Okay."
We talked for a little while longer, then said goodbye to the couple and headed back out to the car.
"Well?" Winnie asked.
