Skipping several months

"Alright, we're done here. Hey, you're my last meeting today. Do you wanna come with me to visit Zoe in the hospital?" Winnie asked.
"At the hospital? Or in the hospital? Cause you said she's a nurse right?"
"Yeah, she is. But no, she's in the hospital right now."
"She's a patient?" I asked.
"No, she's a cadaver," Winnie retorted. "Yes, she's a patient."
I blinked at her. I wondered what had happened and why Zoe was in the hospital. Sure, I haven't been in contact with them since I got back, but I still hoped she was okay.
Winnie began packing up her things.
"Winnie?"
She shooed me out of her office. I stood there slightly dumbfounded. She turned off the lights, locked the door and began heading out.
"Are you coming or not?"
"Wait!" I called. "What's wrong? Is she okay? What happened? Winnie!"
"Bye, Sarah." She waved at the front desk lady.
I jogged to catch up with her. Why wasn't she answering my question? Was it so bad that she couldn't stand to talk about it? Was Zoe dying? Then again Winnie seemed pretty happy when she mentioned the idea of visiting her.
"Calm down, she's fine. You'll see when we get there." She shook her head and laughed at me. I don't know what she was laughing at.

"Okay, so Camden's going to meet us in the lobby when we get there."
"Wow, I haven't seen them in a long time."
"You missed a lot."
"I know," I sighed. "So, are you going to tell me why they're here?"
"We're almost there. Then you can see for yourself."
Seriously, why was she being so vague? Was it really that bad?
"Can you at least tell me if it's good or bad?"
That was a stupid question. Nobody is ever in the hospital for a good reason. She looked at me funny and then giggled.
"C'mon, we're here."
We got out of the car and headed into the building. Camden stood up from his seat and walked over to us.
"Hey!" Winnie greeted. She gave him a quick hug. "So, how are they?"
"They're both doing great actually."
"Awesome."
'They?' Who are they talking about?
Camden then turned towards me.
"Noah! I'm so happy to see you man!"
"Hey."
"It's been a while."
He stepped towards me and wrapped me in a hug. I hugged him back. Man, had I missed him and his hugs.
"So, should we go see them?" He asked.
"Absolutely." Winnie answered.
We followed Camden down the hall and past a few doors into what I assumed was the maternity ward. I finally started piecing it all together. That call Winnie got a few months ago, when Winnie said Zoe wasn't feeling well, Winnie being excited to visit her, Camden and Winnie saying 'they', the maternity ward. Zoe and Camden have been married for almost three years now...I was a little upset that they didn't tell me anything, but I was excited nonetheless.
