I feel Hundreds of emotions flying through me as Lilly Walks on stage. Frozen, cold and pitiful. I begin to regain my feelings as I stumble into the croud and shout "I volunteer as tribute!"
Lilly grabs me and crys out "N -n-no you cant.I wont let you!"
I take her pale hand and reassure her " No, You wouldnt last a second Lilly." My voice starts to stutter."I wont let you go in the arena." I confidently stride up to the stage and stand there, apearing Brave and fearless. Inside I am shivering and feeble.
"What is your name?" The woman sporting a fluffy blue wig asks me.
"Rue Mellark" I answer back as faint sparks of recognition fly through the crowd. People grow attached to victors and also there children. I can imagine how the Capitol will be reacting.
Effie suddenly calls out " Time to pick out our male tribute for these exciting games!" In a perky voice"!
Before anyone can do anything I hear a familiar name being called out; "Jack Mellark!"
