Chapter 41 : Steadfast
I skipped breakfast cause I felt awful today. I guess I need a little break, even just for a moment. I don't want start my day eating with the great pretenders, I'd rather be alone.
A knock came and I felt lazy to even open the door pero I thought na it wouldn't be much of a help kung may paa ako pero di ko ginagamit.
I just saw a tray and a note.
Eat.
It was appetizing and I have to admit I was hungry. I looked at every angle to check if somone was there at dahil walang tao, pinasok ko na yung pagkain sa loob.
Wala akong magawa at nakatitig lang ako sa kawalan habang kumakain. Alam kong ang drama ko these past few days and I think that I deserve it.
"Four years na ang lumipas, why are you still frail?" That question popped out of my head and it made me wonder. Hindi naman ako nagsayang ng four years para magmukhang kawawa at mahina sa harap nila.
I tied my hair, brushed my teeth and took a quick bath. I made sure that I look more than fine and I finished everything with a smile.
"Goodmorning Sam!" Molly greeted me and I hugged her.
"Kala ko hindi ka lalabas kaya dinalhan ka ni-"
"I just overslept. Thanks for the food anyway." I smiled to decieve them, dahil yun ang trend dito.
"Ganda ng mood today ah." Eros returned a smile but his eyebrow arched. I guess he noticed.
"Guys mag camping tayo doon." Tinuro ni Enzo yung isang bundok sa di kalayuan. Siguro he's trying all his best to be strong for Molly.
"Oo nga dali!" Today was different. Hindi kagay nung kahapon na lahat ay tahimik at malungkot kahit nga si Ate Kaye ay nag cheer up.
Medyo nag hesitate kami dahil sa lagay ni Molly but she made sure she was fine and I can see that it is what she really wanted kaya we packed our things at nag rent kami ng tent. May camping package kasi dito sa resort so it was easier. Before 1 pm ay nagsimula na kami. It wasn't that steep unlike the mountains that I've climbed with Vince pero mas muddy yung ground kaya mahirap. At the way almost all of us were chatting and laughing except for Katthe, Ghene, Emmett, Dice and Keitthe who l bothered.
"Ay may ilog! Wait lang mag swim lang ang mermaid."
"Nako Eros wag na. Lunurin pa kita diyan eh." Bryce was back with his jokes and it made us laugh.
Malalim yung ilog at dumaan pa kami sa isang tulay na gawa sa puno. Nasa harap ko si Enzo kaya sakanya ako naka-kapit. Dahil sa mud sa paa ko na nagpadulas ay muntikan na akong mahulog buti at may kumapit saakin galing sa likod at yung tent lang naming dalawa ang bumagsak sa tubig.
I didn't look back 'cause I know that it's him that I'll see. I still remember how his simple touch lingers on my skin. I made it seem like I wasn't bothered so we just kept moving forward.
After a long walk, we took a stop near the falls. It was majestic and I snapped a few pics para may mapakita ako kay Vincent.
Nakita namin na biglang naghuhubad si Molly kaya nagulat kami lalo na ng tumalon siya sa ilog especially because nasa taas kami.
"Guys the water feels great." She shouted from below and our hesitation was evident pero naganahan kami when we saw Enzo stripping and jumping like a fool. I did the same and jumped. My heart skipped a beat and the feeling of falling was still the same. Falling was a risk I took, but I never enjoyed a fall like this one.
