5 - He's Familiar

"Are you sure?" Lesley asked.

"Yeah, he's sure." Hurricane said.

Lesley nodded to the guards and they began to uncuff him.

"Thank you very much!" He said, now uncuffed.

"Let her go too." I said.

And the guards did it too. The guy in red grabbed her just as soon as she was uncuffed.

"Marina? Marina?!" He shouted. He checked for her pulse.

"Is she?" Ylona asked.

"She's alive. Thank God."

Marina woke up and said something.

"Jet? Is that you?" She said.

"Yeah, its me. Are you ok? Stand up."

She slowly stood up and the guy in red, Jet, helped her.

I introduced myself.

"I'm Earl."

"Jet."

"Marina."

"I'm Ylona."

"Are you two in a relationship?" I asked.

"No. Are you?" Jet said.

"Yes, we are!" Ylona replied.

"You look familiar. Have we met before?" I asked.

"You look familiar too but I don't think we have."

"We need your help, Jet." Hurricane said.

Jet had this confused look on his face when he saw Hurricane. I guess he didn't notice him before.

"Wait. You look-"

"I'm from our time."

"Our? What do you mean our?" He asked.

"You never told them?" I told Lesley.

"You're in the future. Hurricane here is my older self. He needs our help save the world and his girlfriend."

"But his girlfriend is-"

"Mine. Thats why I agreed to help him."

"But we're nobodies!" Marina said.

"You can do it. You say that but I've seen it. You're ready. Trust me." Hurricane said.

"Ok." Jet suddenly said.

"This is crazy but I'll do it. I need a weapon. Maybe a sword."

"Here." Hurricane threw him a key and shouted,

"Emper!"

"Woah!" Jet said as he caught the sword that was once a key.

"This is weird. Like really weird. I can't believe this." He said.

"Are you crazy Jet?! We can't do this!" Marina said.

"We can do this. I've seen you do your computer magic."

"What computer magic?" Ylona asked.

"Hacking. Thats not gonna help!" Marina said.

"Actually it will. It will be the most crucial moment when you have to hack." Hurricane said.

"But if its so important, why won't the enemy change their strategy?" Jet asked.

"How do you know the enemy?" I asked.

"The enemy also transmitted a video to us." Lesley said.

"Remember Blue and Red, Earl?" Hurricane said.

"Who's Blue and Red?"

"They're the Time Gods. They keep anyone from remembering the important moments that involved their younger selves."

"So how does Hurricane know?" Jet asked.

"Because we asked a favor to them. We sort of done this time travel, saving the world stuff already." I explained.

"But now, it would be different. Our enemy would be prepared. He lived this battle before that means he remembers some but not all which makes this harder." Hurricane said.

"When do we start? I decided to join in." Marina said.

"You have different missions." Hurricane said.

"Jet and Marina, you save Ylona. My Ylona. Earl and Ylona, you beat the enemy."

"Why not we save her?" Ylona asked.

"Because you two are more experienced in fighting."

"I understand." I said.

"Now go! Jet, you go to the office where he builds the cyborgs. Earl, you go at his headquarters."

"Get them to the city." Lesley told a guard.

"Earl, you can't use the helicopter. Its too noisy to land safely at the island. Join them at the city and start there."

"How about you?" I asked.

"I'll stay at the Pocket Watch. I'll give you intel time to time. Here."

He gave me a headset. I put it in my ear.

"And I forgot, Marina, here." He gave her a key too.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Its not a weapon. Its a portable laptop with higher processing power than any laptop in your time."

"Thats cool." Jet and I both said.

And then Ylona and Marina giggled too.

"Now go!" Hurricane said.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll go." I said.

"Good luck." Hurricane said.

"Thanks. We'll need it." I said, as we left the Clock of Death and into the helicopter that go to the city.
