Finding Yourself

Chapter Three:

[Meg's P.O.V]

"What was that?" I just look at them silently for a few moments because honestly I don't even know what is was. "I...I'm sure it was nothing." "Hey do you two want to come over after school today?" I say in my attempt to change the subject. "Sure! That would be fun." Bella was always a little to enthusiastic about some situations. "Yeah I'll come to." Yay I have successfully changed the subject, if I knew what that was I would have told them, who am I kidding it was nothing the only words he had said to me were an insult so if he did have a crush on anyone it certainly was not me.

I was pulled out of my thoughts by Bella grabbing and yanking my arm while Lily was saying "C'mon we are going to be late for English lets go!" If there was one thing Lily cared about it was school, she had straight A' s and was always on the honor roll.

The three of us walked into the class room and just in time because as we sat down the bell rung which caused the teacher to shoot us glares. I sat besides Lily while Bella sat in front of us. Mrs. Adams started talking and as usual Lily started to scribble down notes. I never felt the need to take notes, it felt pointless to write something I would never look at. First period ended pretty fast, and so did the rest of the periods. I love school I, I tend to think of it as my home away from home.

Lunch was about to start so Bella, Lily, and I walked down the hall way arm in arm. The cafeteria was consistently packed during this period because the Juniors and Seniors shared a lunch.

We got our lunch then sat at table in the middle of the room. I began to eat until I heard laughing from Bella and Lily. "What's so funny?" I asked both of them. Bella just kept laughing and Lily said "it looks like you have an admirer." While pointing in a direction behind me. I whip my head around to see Austin giving me a look annoyance. All he did was stare, he didn't look away not even blink. It was like he was frozen. I was about to walk over and confront him when "What do you think your doing" Bella said reaching for my arm over the table to stop me. "Going to see what he wants, maybe he just wants to ask me something." "No no no, if he wanted to ask you something he would come and ask not shoot you death eyes." I nod my head slowly then agree to not go over. He can't be that bad, he probably is just misunderstood. The rest of the lunch period I could feel a set of eyes on the back of my heard and watched and Bella and Lily eat uncomfortably.

When the bell rang I had never been more thankful that lunch was the last period of the day, which frankly made little sense to me but oh well it's not my school. I told the girls I would wait by my brothers car for them in the parking lot since they were coming over. I stood outside the car because I didn't have the keys to unlock it. Only about five minutes pass by when I hear a bang on the hood of the car. I jumped and turned my head to where the noise came from. I saw Austin with the same look on his face except as he got closer his mouth formed a small smile. "U..u..um can I help you?" Stuttering... Smooth. "What's your name?" He asked. He had gotten so close that I could feel his breath on my face as he talked. "Meg, why do you ask?" "Curious, I guess you could say." By this point he was so close that he had my body pinned to the car, where were Bella or Lily, or my brother! " Oh that's...nice?" "Yes, yes it is. I'll see you around...Meg." He stepped away from me and walked to the other side of the building then disappeared. What was that about?...
