TW: Attempted SA
The next morning Beomgyu wakes up. It's the weekend. He got himself a handy job at a local cafe which he works at every Saturday. The wages aren't the best but it's something. Plus, at least he can get out of the house.
Beomgyu slowly sits up in bed, rubbing his eyes as he looks at the clock. It's still quite early in the morning. His eyes are still a bit blurry as he gets out of bed. He lets out a small yawn as he pulls out some clothes to wear.
He heads into the bathroom to have a shower, finally starting to properly wake up from his sleep. The hot water helps to loosen up some of his muscles and he stands under the water for quite a while, just letting the water flow down his body.
He finishes showering and grabs a towel to dry himself off. Once dry he puts on the clothes he grabbed earlier and turns to look at himself in the mirror, his dark hair sticking up in all directions after being dried with the towel.
Beomgyu takes some time to comb through his hair. Afterwards, he looks at his reflection in the mirror with a sigh. He looks tired. No matter how hard he tries he can never seem to get proper sleep, especially after having to deal with his father almost every night.
Once he's fully dressed and ready to go he leaves his room, heading out the door and on his way to the cafe.
It doesn't take long to get there. It's still quite early in the morning, so the streets are fairly quiet.
Beomgyu enters the cafe, putting his apron on and adjusting it so that it sits snugly around his slim waist.
As the day goes by, the cafe becomes busier. Most people come here to work, tapping away on their laptops as Beomgyu goes around making sure to top customers' coffee up.
He finds himself busy, constantly walking around the shop taking orders and bringing people drinks. His feet are starting to hurt from being on them for so long, he hopes that he gets a chance to sit down and take a break soon.
As he continues to work he notices a man, middle aged, sat at the corner booth, staring at him. Now that he thinks about it, the man has been in here for quite a while now. Beomgyu brushes it off, looking in the opposite direction of the man's gaze.
He carries on his work but can still feel the man staring at him. The intensity of the man's gaze makes him uneasy but he tries to ignore it, not wanting to cause any trouble at work and upset his boss. Instead, Beomgyu continues working around the cafe, serving other customers and doing his best to not look in the man's direction.
After a while, he notices the man get up to leave in the corner of his eye.
Beomgyu slowly starts to relax as the man gets up to leave, breathing out a sigh of relief. Even though he wasn't directly looking at the man, the fact that he was being stared at so intensely had put him on edge. As he watches the man walk out the door a small wave of relief washes over him, glad that the man is no longer making him feel so uneasy.
He finishes up cleaning some tables and heads to staff only room in the back. As he's deep in thought he hears his boss call his name.
Beomgyu gets snapped out of his thoughts at the mention of his name. He quickly turns around to see his boss standing there.
"Y-yes?" He stutters out, feeling a bit nervous at the call of his name.
His boss approaches him and puts a hand on his shoulder, he has a concerned look on his face.
"I need to talk to you about something for a moment." The boss says, he takes Beomgyu by the shoulder and lightly guides him into his office, closing the door behind them.
