"But having Calum look right at me & then tell me that he doesn't feel the same will hurt me even more, Mikey. I just need some time to try to let it go, alright? He doesn't need to know. I'm trying really hard to not let him affect me anymore but seeing him come home with a girl sort of set me back tonight. I am trying to move on though."

"Ugh." Michael sighed. "I just wish you'd tell him."

"Well this is my problem, not yours, so I'd appreciate if you would stop pushing that. Now Ashton knows & I'm done telling people."

"Ava, I won't tell a soul." Ashton told me as he put his hand on my shoulder. "I won't."

"& I won't either." Michael took a huge sigh. "It's late, it's cold & I'm tired though. Can we go to bed?"

"You guys can. I might just sleep on the couch or something. I don't think I can walk past Calum's door. I don't want to hear anything."

"Nah." Ashton shook his head as he stood up. "We've been out here long enough. I'm sure he's asleep by now."

"With a girl in his bed."

"Stop." Michael pointed down at me before he gave me his hand to help me up. "Don't think like that."

I followed Ashton up the sand but as he went to open the door, he turned around. "Maybe we should wait a second."

"Why?" I asked him before I looked over his shoulder where I had a clear picture of Calum kissing this girl by the door.

"At least she's leaving." Michael said as he patted my back.

As soon as she walked out the door, I heard a car door open so at least she had a taxi or a ride home or whatever & then we walked inside.

"Oh." Calum ran his hands through his hair as he saw us, clearly surprised. "You guys are up."

"We're going to bed now." Michael said shortly.

"Ah, alright. Well goodnight guys." Calum said as I continued to walk towards the stairs. I gave him one look & as I looked into his eyes, a small part of me felt like they were apologizing. I felt like the way he was looking at me as I walked up the stairs, him still standing by the front door, I felt like he was saying sorry.

But then I remembered what he did tonight & I realized his eyes said nothing.

"How about we both just sleep with Ava tonight." Michael suggested as we walked back into our room. Luke was completely sprawled out on one of the beds, passed out so we sort of had no choice but to cuddle on the other bed.

"That's fine with me." I was too tired to fight it.

"Good." Ashton smiled before he walked over the three of us situated ourselves in the other bed.

Even though my heart was aching for Calum, I did feel lucky to have these two amazing guys by my side.

The next morning, I went for a run by myself & I took a shower before anyone else even woke up. After my shower, Marcy was awake & she had a pot of coffee ready.

"Thanks Mar."

"Not a problem. I bet those guys are going to be exhausted today so I made the coffee extra strong."

"Perfect." I said as I poured myself a cup. "I need it today too."

I took my book as I walked outside before I sat on the lounge chair to read & relax.

I read a few chapters before I heard the door slide open & there was Calum.
Of course.

"Morning Aves."

"Hi."

"Am I interrupting? Are you at a good spot in your book?"

"Nah. It's alright." I shut the cover. "How was last night?"

"It was alright. Guys nights tend to get crazy though. You should have seen Luke. How was your girls night?"

"It was just a move night."

"I saw The Last Song out on the table. Did you watch it?"

"No. We never made it to that one."

"Oh." He nodded. "Hey, uh were you crying last night? When you were going up to bed, it looked like you were upset. I said we could talk if you needed it, remember?"

"I'm alright. Ashton & Mikey helped."

"What was wrong? Your eyes looked really upset though."

"I just talked to my mom earlier yesterday & I miss her after only being here like two weeks so it just made me think of homesick I'll be when I'm in Italy & I guess the wine enhanced my feelings so I was just sad last night, a little sad drunk. I'm okay now."

"Are you sure? We can talk about it if you're not."

"Nah. I'm all good."

"Okay. I'll let you get back to reading, I need to shower. But hey, Ava? I'm really going to miss you when you're in Italy though."

"Yea. I'll miss you too, Cal."

A/N sorry for not updating yesterday, i had to work a double at work & then i worked again this morning so i haven't really been home to post anything but here i am.

i promise not every chapter is like a sad ava chapter, it'll start to take a new turn soon but i won't say how or why or anything but there won't be too many more where ava is just like blah about it all since i know it might seem repetitive.

thanks again for the support!
