Why Do You Run?

Hal never felt more terrified, more hopeless than he did now. Giggling could be heard from the other side of the door.

"What's taking so long? Come oon! I want to see the surprise!" Olly called with excitement.

Hal's phone was outside with Olly. He'd locked the door long ago, knowing that no matter what happened when he went outside, his fate was sealed. He closed his eyes, and images of the mutilated bodies in the basement flooded his mind.

He was next. He was next. She would be after him. She knows he knows. He can't tell anyone. Sweet, caring, Olly? She could never do something that horrific. He'd imagined it or had done it and was framing her. "Help," the man had begged Hal, "I can't escape her. She will kill me next time I upset her. Please save me."

But Hal had kicked him away and ran, back to the safety of his room, he didn't know what had become of the man in the basement. He was surely dead. It had been four days and he'd seen Olly go down to the basement twice. The last time, she'd given Hal an eerie look like a predator, sizing up her prey.

She'd loved him. He knew that much. But seeing the man, he'd recognized him as her past boyfriend. She'd loved him dearly, but he'd supposedly died in a house fire a year prior.

He couldn't hide. He couldn't run. She'd always find him. She excelled at hide and seek.

Romance turned Thriller(?)

Throughout the first few chapter I set up an adorable fluffy romance, but it takes a turning point when Olly, Hal's first ever girlfriend, turns out to be a psycho murder who has chosen their next target(Hal) taking on the façade of a sweet loving partner

He discovers the mutilated bodies of her past boyfriends and one, her previous boyfriend who died a year prior begs for help

Ideas:

- Olly is beloved in the community, has them all wrapped around her finger, playing with all their minds like a puppeteer

- Hal is the neighborhood outcast, falsely accused of sexual assault after the women r@ped him first but no one ever believed him and there was never enough evidence to take it to court

- Hal's only friend, Lucas, introduced him to Olly, with the intention of raising Hal's social status, and his in turn

- Olly's friends are in on the murders, but they play more obscure roles as they are not as beloved by the community

- Hal escapes perchance. (You can't just say perchance!)

- He manages to get Olly locked away in prison perchance.

- Olly's friends find him and finish the job after Olly lost the opportunity to(got imprisoned)

- Olly is NOT a yandere. Just a psycho killer who is VERY great at her killing without getting caught. She set the house on fire to kidnap, torture, and kill her last boyfriend(in case it wasn't obvious...)
