Author's POV: ☆

The living room was a chaotic yet strangely harmonious scene. Wonwoo and Mingyu were deeply immersed in their video game battle, the rapid clicking of controllers filling the space. Seungkwan and Deokyeom sat nearby, casually watching the game unfold, while Minghao stared blankly at the ceiling, lost in his thoughts. He couldn't stop thinking about you-how he had seen you last night and then again in a much more complicated situation.

Jun entered the room and immediately noticed Minghao's distant gaze. He wasn't one to let a good opportunity slip by, so he playfully waved his hand in front of Minghao's face before pulling a small knife from his pocket. Without a second thought, he aimed it behind Minghao's head, but Minghao's reflexes were sharp, catching Jun's wrist just before the blade made contact.

A tense moment passed as Minghao twisted Jun's arm, disarming him and pointing the knife back at him. Despite the sudden confrontation, the others in the room barely reacted, accustomed to the near-daily violence that was just part of life in Seventeen's household.

Jun chuckled, a sound laced with both amusement and a hint of challenge, before he yanked the knife out of Minghao's hand. The blade clattered to the floor and skidded out of the room, stopping just outside the doorway where Joshua stood.

Joshua picked up the knife with a calm demeanor, his eyes cold as he stared at the two. "Stop it or I'll cut both of your hands off," he warned, his voice carrying an edge that silenced any potential retorts.

Minghao sighed, leaning back into his seat as if nothing had happened, while Jun returned his attention to his phone, the moment quickly forgotten.

"Where's the girl?" Joshua asked, his voice cutting through the room's casual atmosphere. Seungkwan turned his head slightly to answer, "She's in the medical room with Woozi and Jeonghan. I think they put her to sleep to run some tests."

"Aren't you supposed to be working on something, hyung?" Deokyeom asked, his eyes not leaving the TV screen.

"Just finished it," Joshua replied curtly before making his way to the medical room, his steps echoing softly in the hallway.

You tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washed over you, forcing you back down.

"Take it easy," Mingyu's voice cut through the fog, firm yet gentle. "You've been out longer than expected."

"What... happened?" you managed to ask, your voice stronger now but still shaky.

Jeonghan exchanged a glance with Woozi, who looked hesitant before he spoke.

"We had to give you a second dose. Your fever spiked again while you were asleep," Woozi explained, his tone carefully measured. "But you're stable now."

But as Woozi spoke, you noticed Minghao's nervous glance, and the slight shift in Seungkwan's posture. They were hiding something.

A sudden surge of adrenaline cleared some of the lingering fog in your mind. You weren't just a sick patient; you were a hostage, surrounded by people whose intentions weren't entirely clear.

"Why do I feel like there's more you're not telling me?" you questioned, your voice gaining strength.

Jeonghan's smile flickered, a brief crack in his usually calm demeanor. "You're sharp, I'll give you that. But right now, what's important is that you recover."

You narrowed your eyes at him, sensing the evasion. There was definitely more at play here than they were letting on.

Before you could press further, the door swung open, and Wonwoo entered the room, the usual grim look on his face.
