The Magic of Pride is Reid's ultimate and primary form of magic, born from his overwhelming and absolute pride.
Rather than merely copying abilities, this magic embodies Reid's belief that there is no power he cannot comprehend, reproduce, surpass, or render meaningless.
Main Power — Absolute Imitation
Absolute Imitation allows Reid to analyze and perfectly replicate any ability simply by witnessing it once.
The moment he observes an ability, his magic instantly analyzes its structure, principles, properties, and method of activation, allowing him to reproduce it as though it were his own.
This includes:
Arcane-class magic and higher-order spells.
Advanced combat techniques and martial arts.
Supernatural abilities and unique techniques.
Complex magical phenomena and specialized abilities.
Techniques that would normally require years, centuries, or innate talent to master.
Reid does not merely imitate the appearance of an ability. He reproduces its underlying principles, allowing him to use the copied power with the same—or potentially greater—efficiency than its original wielder.
Adaptation and Nullification
The Magic of Pride can instantly decipher the properties and mechanisms of incoming attacks.
Once an attack has been analyzed, Reid can adapt to it, alter its properties, weaken it, or completely nullify it.
Even if an ability is unfamiliar to him, a single observation is enough for his magic to begin understanding its nature.
Against the same ability, repeated attacks become increasingly ineffective, as Reid continuously adapts to its properties.

The true strength of this magic lies not in imitation itself, but in the concept behind it:
"If I can perceive it, I can understand it. If I can understand it, I can reproduce it. And if I can reproduce it, then it can no longer be considered beyond my reach."
For Reid, another person's greatest ability is merely something he has not seen yet.

Background
Raised as an orphan in the village of Hage, Reid grew up at the local church alongside Asta and Yuno. From a young age, he became known for his carefree, shameless, and somewhat vulgar personality. He had absolutely no filter when it came to attractive people, openly flirting with anyone—man or woman—who caught his attention, much to the annoyance of everyone around him.
Reid was also notoriously lazy, often choosing to sleep, eat, or simply do nothing rather than put in any unnecessary effort. His laid-back attitude, constant teasing, and tendency to say whatever came to mind made him incredibly irritating to those around him.
Despite his carefree and troublesome nature, however, Reid was fiercely protective of the people he considered his friends. Beneath his lazy exterior was someone who would immediately put himself in harm's way if Asta, Yuno, or anyone he cared about was threatened.
When he eventually joined the Magic Knights, Reid did so for the simplest reason imaginable: he was bored. He had no grand ambition, no desire for fame, and certainly no interest in becoming a great Magic Knight. He simply thought joining the order might be entertaining enough to kill some time.
