NICKI'S POV: NICKI'S HOUSE 📍
Lauren: "Girl, why are you so anti-outside?" she said, trying to convince me to come outside with her and the girls.
"I'm not, Lauren. I just have to study," I replied.
Lauren: "That's your excuse every time I ask you to come out. One night won't hurt," she said. Little did she know it would, but that was something we didn't know at the time. That still wasn't convincing me. I had my phone sitting on the counter next to my laptop. I had Lauren on speaker while I did the last of my homework for the night.
I just told Lauren I had to study because she's always trying to get me to come out, but she rarely wins that argument. Plus, I was sitting on the island in the kitchen in pajamas with my wine. I was too comfortable to go anywhere. I've always been a homebody.
Lauren: "Hold on," she said.
"Alright," I said while still typing on my laptop. Probably one of her niggas calling, I thought. She clicked back over.
Lauren: "Lori & Lani," she said, calling their names. Lori & Lani: "Yeah," they both replied at the same time. I know she didn't just call them to convince me because it's not happening. Lauren thinks she's slick.
"Lauren, I know you didn't just call these bitches to try to convince me to come outside," I said as I stopped typing to look over at my phone.
Lauren: "Sure did. Now, bitches, convince her to come out tonight," she said before stopping to wait for their response. I just rolled my eyes at the phone as if they could see me and turned my head back to my laptop to type again. There's nothing they could say that will get me to change my mind.
Lani: "Shut up, Lauren. I see why she's not trying to go; your ass is mean." But Nic, come out, it's a big party going on tonight." I stopped typing and looked back at the phone in curiosity.
"Whose?" I asked.
Lani: "I don't know, but I heard it's big."
"Where?" I asked.
Lauren: "Girl, are you coming or not? Nobody has time to play 20 damn questions with you." I rolled my eyes at her response while thinking about if I should go.
Lani: "Look, Nic, I'm not forcing you to say yes, unlike Lauren's bad influence ass, because I know you're on your school shit. But just think about it, and if you come tonight, Lauren won't ask you to go nowhere else." She said. I laughed to myself at her comment about Lauren.
Lauren: "Bitch, don't speak for me and don't lie to her because I will. I don't even see how she can stay in the house all day. A bitch like me needs my fresh air. She needs to come outside sometimes," she said with her crazy ass, I thought.
Lori: "I'll buy our shots," Lori said after being quiet, listening to the whole call. Lori doesn't usually get into Lauren and Lani's craziness. She's the chill one the rest of us are crazy. Well, I'm crazy when I have to be, Lauren is crazy 24/7, and Lani is just crazy towards Lauren.
But for Lori to say something took me by surprise. Like I said, Lori is the chill one, and she usually lets Lauren and Lani do the convincing. So for her to say anything had me in shock.
I huffed and stopped typing again, looking back at the phone for the one hundredth time before I said, "Alright," in a miserable tone.
Lani: "Bet," Lani said.
Lauren: "Hold on, damn bitch. If I knew the shots would get you out of the house, I would have been used that one," she said in a shocked tone. I rolled my eyes at the phone again.
