There's not a chance we're meant to be

Love was just another word,

Until you defined it forever more.

It seems like I'm falling for you,

And I don't want to reach the floor.

Love is never real in my eyes,

Chances are taken, but all they tell are lies

In a world of numbered probabilities,

There's not a chance we are meant to be

But please don't go away,

Goodbye's so hard to say!

Don't leave me in the pouring rain,

I'll be crazy just to meet your insane.

If Goodbye's too hard to say for you,

Why did you have to break me first?

And you tell me now I shouldn't go away,

Do I even have a place to stay?

There's not a chance we were meant to be,

But we can make our own destiny,

I know it's too late to make it happen now,

But can't we try and see if it works out?

My empty words doesn't just fit your metaphors

I know you'll find some better poetry

I'm letting you go now, dear

Find someone else not as insane as me

There are many more foolish, and less insane,

Poets fall like some plagued acid rain.

But if you must leave- you do have my heart,

But you can keep it- you've had it from the start.

Where shall I keep your heart?

When all my baggages are packed from the start,

It was all on me, I deserve the blame

Why did I ever let myself hurt you?

Well, I'm afraid I can't take it back,

The beat is gone, in life it lacks.

I shall never forget these times..

You are the reason my life rhymes.

You're making it hard for me to lift a foot

One touch and I can't resist

Please be kind enough to push me away

Or I might do something insane like wanting to stay

But here we are now, and I'll be holding the matches

to burn down all the bridges,

Take everything away now, burn,

everything I didn't say...

I fear you may have just left...

Leaving me of love bereft.

Is this how this tale must end?

Isn't love supposed to transcend?

You've left me here, all alone,

I'll cry a river: sticks and stones.

But I guess all good things have to end
