Seconds

I can't believe that in seconds your whole life can flash before your eyes, but that's what happened.

But let's start from the very beginning shall we?

"Shawn, babe I am home." I yell, and start putting away the groceries.

"Hello sweets," He says as he helps me put away the cans of vegetables.

After finishing up the groceries, I start fixing dinner placing a frozen piece of salmon in the pot.

As I flip the fish over and sprinkle some seasoning over it, I feel arms snake around my waist.

"Shawn, haha, stop." I laugh as he buries his face in my neck ,purposely nudging my neck with the tip of his nose.

"I'll set the table." Shawn grins, grabbing the plates down from the cabinet.

"Thanks sweets."

After a few more minutes the fish is cooked and done, and all there is left to do is wash up. But, when Shawn and I come back frown upstairs after washing up, we come to find the cat ate our food and was happily trying to sleep on the table.

"Bad cat!" I yell frowning, and picking him up.

I put him in the bathroom, as I always do when he is bad and walk back down stairs.

"What are we going to do now?"
I frown putting my face in my hands.

"Hey how about we just go out to eat?" Shawn smiles."Besides I have been dying to see that dress you bought, but said I couldn't see unless it was something fancy."

"Alright." I nod, and walk upstairs to get ready.

After I finish getting ready, I walk back down the stairs my hand gracefully sliding down the banister until I see those familiar chocolate colored eyes staring at me.

"You look so beautiful." Shawn breathes, his eyes sparkling as he wraps me tightly in his arms. "I still can't believe you're all mine."

"Well believe it, Shawn, because I am not going anywhere." I laugh.

He just buries his head in my neck, his nose brushing my neck as he moves his head, and I squirm.

"Shawn, I told you to stop that, it tickles too much!"I laugh.

He grins, his eyes glinting with a hint of mischief "Sorry baby, it's just to much fun watching you squirm, and I always love hearing your angelic laughter."

I just smile while rolling my eyes in return "Where are we even going?"

"It's a surprise." he says once again flashing a smile in my direction "But let's go ahead and get in the car, because it will take a little while to get in there."

"Sounds good to me," I nod, opening the door and walking towards his car.

I get in the drivers seat, and wait for Shawn to finish locking up the house before we leave.

After Shawn finishes, he jogs over to the driver's seat.

"What are you doing?" He asks.

"I am going to drive us to the restaurant, duh."

"(Y/n), I never told you where we are going and so you have no idea where to be driving." He laughs, and I blush.

"Right.." I say, getting out and walking to the passengers seat.

We had be driving on the road for about ten minutes, when a let out a loud groan, "UGH, why is there nothing good on the radio?!"

"Just plug my phone into the aux cord," Shawn laughs. "Just play my spodify playlist."
