A week passed, and the dreaded date marked on Taeyong's calendar approached. His heat schedule was known, but anticipation did nothing to lessen the intensity when it finally hit. This time, it felt different – more uncontrollable, more consuming.

Taeyong lay on his bed, writhing in discomfort. The familiar scent that had helped him before was nowhere to be found. Desperate and driven by his thin consciousness, he searched his room for anything that might provide relief. But there was nothing – no comforting jacket, no trace of the scent that had once grounded him.

---

Days after the heat ended, Taeyong made his way back to the hospital, his resolve strengthened by the need for answers. He walked into Jaehyun's office, his face a mix of determination and exhaustion.

"Dr. Jung, I need your help," Taeyong began, his voice steady despite the turmoil inside him. "The heat... it's getting worse. I can't control it like before."

Jaehyun leaned forward, concern etched on his features. "Taeyong, we need to address this seriously. Your condition isn't improving, and it's taking a toll on your well-being."

Taeyong nodded, his eyes pleading. "What can we do? My parents won't agree to hospitalization."

Jaehyun considered the situation, a plan forming in his mind. "If your family refuses to have you hospitalized, there's another option. You can stay at my place. I'll be able to monitor your condition closely and provide the care you need."

Taeyong's eyes widened in surprise. "Your house?"

Jaehyun nodded. "Yes. It's unconventional, but it might be the best way to understand what's happening to you. I can study your symptoms in a controlled environment and hopefully find a solution."

Taeyong hesitated, but the desperation to find relief outweighed his doubts. "Alright. I'll talk to my parents."

---

Surprisingly, Taeyong's parents agreed to the arrangement. Perhaps it was Jaehyun's reputation, or maybe they sensed the urgency in their son's condition. Regardless, Taeyong found himself at Jaehyun's mansion a few days later, his belongings packed and nerves on edge.

Jaehyun welcomed him, guiding him to a guest room that was spacious and comfortable. "Make yourself at home, Taeyong. We'll get through this."

Taeyong nodded, grateful yet apprehensive. As he settled into his new surroundings, he couldn't ignore the growing heat within him. Being so close to Jaehyun, the source of the scent that had provided so much comfort, was both a blessing and a curse.

The days that followed were a blur of intense heat cycles, far more frequent than before. The proximity to Jaehyun seemed to amplify his condition, the alpha's presence stirring his omega instincts to uncontrollable heights. Taeyong found himself overwhelmed, unable to focus on anything but the scent that drove him wild.

Jaehyun, meanwhile, observed Taeyong's symptoms with a mix of professional curiosity and personal concern. He noted the increased frequency and intensity of the heat cycles, struggling to find a pattern or explanation. Despite his determination to maintain a clinical perspective, he couldn't deny the growing connection between them.

One evening, after another intense heat episode, Taeyong lay on his bed, exhausted but relieved. Jaehyun entered the room, his expression a blend of worry and resolve.

"Taeyong, I need to understand what's triggering these cycles," Jaehyun said, sitting at the edge of the bed. "There has to be a reason why they're so frequent and intense."

Taeyong met his gaze, his eyes filled with both trust and desperation. "I don't know, Dr. Jung."
