before her body dropped.

"oh my!" the girl caught her and wrapped enola's arm around her shoulder.

"Meg! i've been looking all over for you! where have you been—" a girl in a red dress with her hair curled beautifully walked up to the two.

her eyes widened once she saw her sister holding a girl she had never seen before.

"who's this?! , is she alright?!" the girl said with a concerned expression as she quickly wrapped enola's other arm around her shoulder.

"i don't know, Jo, i think she's drunk." Meg answered, staring at her sister with a concerned look.

"Drunk? me? no!" enola said in an overly offended tone.

"yeah, she's drunk." Jo said plainly.

"what do we do?!" Meg asked.

"We shall take her to Marmee." Jo said. "She'll take care of her."

and so they left the ball.

they hailed a cab which included a twenty five minute long drive with enola talking nonsense to the duo.

"alright... we're here." jo exhaled and knocked on the door.

the door opened and a women smiled a the girls but a look of confusion soon overtook her face.

"oh, goodness gracious, who's this young lady?" she asked with a laugh.

they came into the house.

"we don't know, but she's definitely been drinking." Meg laughed.

                                            ♥︎

Enola awoke with a throbbing headache.

she tossed to the other side in the bed and rubbed her hands on her face.

"oh, lord." she groaned.

it was then that she realized she wasn't in her bed, let alone her home!

she sat up quickly, eyes widened, looking around in panic, panting.

A women suddenly walked in the room with a gentle smile as she sat down on the bed.

"don't be frightened, dear. my daughters brought you here, you were passed out drunk!" she laughed.

Enola stayed silent, still trying to process what happened last night.

"Meg! she's a awake! can you please go make some tea?!" The women called out.

"what's your name, dear?" the women asked.

Enola snapped out of her daydream before opening her mouth to answer.

"Enol—"

"You're awake!" a girl who seemed to be the same age as her ran in.

She ran up to her with a smile and pulled out a hand for her to shake.

Marmee stood up and left the room to leave the girls to talk.

"I'm Jo, Jo March." She smiled

Enola flashed a quick smile, shaking her hand firmly. "Enola Holmes."

Jo nodded and looked around the room before Meg came in with tea on a tray.

She put the tray on the table next to the bed and Enola grabbed a teacup, pouring some tea into it.

"Meg, this is Enola." Jo said to her.

Meg smiled softly at Enola.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Enola, I'm Meg."

Enola nodded, before opening her mouth to talk.

"How did i get here?"

"we brought you here, you were very very drunk and we had worried what would happen to you if we had left you." meg explained.

Enola smiled softly. "thank you."

"my apologies if i ruined your evening last night." enola smiled nervously.

"oh, please do not worry, i was forced to go." jo rolled her eyes.

enola laughed. "i like you."

Jo smiled softly.

"Oh! im sure Beth and Amy would love to meet you! Amy says she hopes you can stay here and be a new sister for us." Meg laughed, before exiting the room with Jo.

Marmee laughed as she came back in the room.

"i apologize, i never got your name." she laughed.

Enola smiled. "Enola Holmes"

Marmee's gentle smile suddenly left her face as she gasped softly.

"is everything alright?" enola asked slowly.

"Holmes?"

'oh here we go...'

Enola prepared herself for the women to start asking as many questions as she could about her brother, Sherlock Holmes.

'three'

'two'

'one'

"Is your mother Eudoria Holmes?" she asked softly.

enola's eyes widened.

not what she was expecting...
