"What if he doesn't want to see me, oh god it's been a month he probably has a girl... that's cool we weren't an item anyway... you're just going to support your friend Liyah.. chill, stop stressing" I thought To myself

"We will be landing at JFK shortly" the captain spoke

"Oh ffs" I whispered to myself.

"Is everything okay there?" a young woman sitting next to me asked

"oh yes, sorry.. just a little bit nervous"

"ooh why?" she questioned
"haven't seen your boyfriend in a long time?" she chuckled

"something like that, he doesn't know I've travelled to see him"

"Oh so it's a surprise"

"I'm sure he'll be happy to see his girl"

"I'm not his girl, just a friend"

"pfft... a friend wouldn't travel to see their man unless they were ill" she winked

she turned back to reading her magazine while I put my headphones in.

"This better work out I whispered to myself"

I contacted his friend that was supporting Lucas in his tour to let him know I was coming over to surprise him, he was waiting to pick me up from the airport and take me to Lucas's hotel room... it was about 9pm when we landed ... leaving us an hour to drop my things at his hotel room, change, and see him perform at the bar.

"Marlon, do you mind if I change in the back and we just head straight to the bar"

"Yeah sure, why not?"

I'd already changed into my lingerie and done my makeup 15minutes landing... so putting on the dress, doing my hair and retouching my contour and highlight was all I had to focus on.

"How his shows been tho?"

"They've been good, loads of feedback , did he tell you he's done a couple meet and greets"

"No actually, we haven't spoken in 2 weeks"

"We had an argument"
