"Fine." said Blake while putting a lien in the jar while rolling her eyes in amusement.

Once equipped and debriefed they were all brought onto a bullhead. The headache has vanished and she can see clear again. "It is just an easy search and destroy mission. Grimm destruction." thought Ruby.

"Sounds easy enough." said Yang.

"Considering that these version of us are older and more advanced in both technique and weaponry it must be a fairly easy mission." said Weiss.

That is the moment where everything went wrong. Their bullhead was blasted out of the sky and they all landed in a flaming wreckage.

"What happened?!" shouted Yang, Weiss and Blake shocked.

Ruby just sighed.

"Ugh. My head." said Ruby while she is bleeding from a wound on her forehead. She wiped away the blood from her eye and then layed her eyes on a new kind of grimm that freezed the blood in her veins.

It looked like a porcupine with thicker thorns. Each of the thorns was loaded with red energy.

But it wasn't that what caused her to freeze up.

It wasn't even the rather human looking limbs the grimm has or the the fact that she could see a person with silver eyes in the behind the bone mask of the grimm.

But it was the fact Blake was laying on the grimm, impaled by the thousands of sharp objects with some of them even piercing Blakes skull.

"What the fuck!?" shouted everyone.

"I died!?" shouted Blake while touching the places where her otherself were impaled.

"She died!?" shouted Yang and Weiss.

"She died. And also not." said Ruby.

"Eh?" said the rest.

"Bl...bl...blake?" asked Ruby in shock.

"Damn. I orignially only wanted the silver eyed daughter of summer but the more the merrier i suppose." said a hunter with a rocket launcher and a cigarrete in mouth

"That man knows mom!" shouted Yang beyond angry.

"And he has managed to work with a grimm! How did he do that!" shouted Weiss shocked.

"I have no idea. At this point. I could have barely tell apart dream from nightmare at this point." said Ruby.

"So an illusion. That is... unsetteling. If it still follows the book thing then i would say it is one of those chapters where the main character gets broken down by the enemy. And i pray to Oum and everyone else who can hear me that that is not happening. And no Ruby don't tell me. I wanna find out later rather then knowing now." said Blake saddened.

"ok." said Ruby with a smile which frankly unsettles them.

"YOU BASTARD!" could Ruby then hear before Yang ran past her in her fury and attacked the new grimm.

"Yang! Stop!"shouted Ruby and tried to get on her feet only to the fall back down as she saw how her own leg was pierced by a metal rod and prevented her from standing up.

"Yang. That bullheadedness is gonna get you killed one day." said Weiss.

"Yeah. Yeah. we can talk later after my other self saved Ruby." said Yang.

"Ehm... Yang." said Ruby while not finding the right words.

"Surely my otherself saved you." said Yang.
