Pure Bliss

Beep beep beep beep.
That's all I heard. Where the hell am I?
Maybe I should wake up.
"Do you think she'll be ok?" I think I heard my mom say.
"Yeah she just has some minor bruises. She does have a slight concussion though."
"What about her dancing?"
"Physically she can, but mentally I'm not so sure. The turns and jumps will put her on edge but she'll get used to it again."
"How soon will that be?"
"About a week or so."
"When will she be able to go back to dance?"
"In a week and a half."
WHAT?!?! A week and a half. Plus the time it will take me to get used to it again I'm screwed for recital.
"She looks like she's waking up."
Once I woke up, I saw my mom and my brothers. Where's Brennen?
"Hi sweetie, how do you feel?"
"I feel fine, but where's Brennen?"
"He's in the waiting room. Would you like to see him?"
"Yes please."
"Ok he'll be here in a second just let me go get him."
I nodded. I wonder what I look like. I must look terrible I mean I got ran over for Christ sake.
"Hey E."
"Brennen!"
"How do you feel?"
"Good now that you're here. How are you?"
"Better now that I know you're awake."
"Even though I'm awake, dance is gonna suck."
"Speaking of dance, your teacher told me to give you this."
Brennen then handed me a letter with my dance teachers name on it and the company I dance for directed to me.
"Well are you gonna open it?"
I nodded and opened the letter. It read:
Dear Easton,
We have decided to move the recital down so you now have 6 weeks to prepare for it. The people of Juliard will be watching you. Good training.
Miss Lottie.

I can not believe it. This is a miracle. I still have a chance.
"You ok, E?" Brennen asked not know why I look like I've just seen a two headed person or something.
"Yeah I'm great. Fantastic. This is a miracle."
"What was in the letter?"
"Miss Lottie have me extra time to get on my feet which means I could have a chance to get into college."
"That's great babe." Brennen said sadly.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing let's just focus on getting you out of here."
"Okay."
As the day proceeded the doctor told me I could go home tomorrow. I can also pick someone to sleep here with me so someone can help me get home and since mom has work tomorrow I picked Brennen. So now we're sitting here in silence.
"So are you ok? Do you need anything?" Brennen asked.
"You could come cuddle with me." I said with my arms out.
"Okay." He said laughing and with that he fell asleep a and so did I. It was peaceful and perfect. Pure bliss.
