Yoongi thankfully didn't hold a grudge against the younger for being so rude to him on the day Yeonjun had to make that sacrifice.

That's something he always appreciated about the older kind man; he always patiently deals with, to put it in his words, all the bullcrap Yeonjun does, and tries his best to talk him out of it afterwards.

The ideal parent or older brother Yeonjun wished he could have.

He entered the pet shelter, hearing the bell ring overhead. Yoongi looked up from the counter and smiled at the younger.

"Hey Yeonjun."

"Hi."

The aforementioned dropped his bag in the corner of the shelter, and walked over to the cat section, which has recently become his favorite after Mimi was adopted.

I'm glad he is though; he deserves a kind family.

Yeonjun took one of the little kittens, and gently cradled her in his muscled arms as he tried his best to find some source of comfort. Until he felt a heavy weight sit down beside him, and hand him a glass of water as well.

"You look like you need something to drink," Yoongi smiled.

"Thanks."

Yeonjun took the water and drank it in one go.

"You know Yeonjun, you can tell me anything that's on your mind; you seem rather troubled," he continued.

The ravenette sighed.

"It's that obvious, right?"

"Mhm."

"Well..."

Yeonjun set the glass down.

"It's been a month since I parted ways with Soobin. And I still follow him on Instagram, so I see his posts and stories."

"Oh... that's a rather bad idea."

"It's the only way I know how he is doing. He ignores my text messages and calls, and doesn't reply to any of my stories either. It's like I don't exist to him, and seeing him so happy... I get jealous that I'm not the reason anymore. Because I cannot be with him anymore."

Yoongi pursed his lips.

"Well Yeonjun, I'm gonna be frank with you, okay?"

"Okay."

He glanced at the younger with a serious look.

"You're doing harm to yourself."

Yeonjun raised a brow.

"How?"

"You keep on checking how Soobin is doing because you are desperate to be with him and go back to how it was before you had to split. You're too immersed with how his life is that you're making yourself miserable with your own life. Be honest Yeonjun, are you happy?"

He shook his head.

"How do you expect me to be happy?"

"Exactly because of that. You're focusing too much on someone who you can't have anything to do with right now that you're not giving your heart a break. Yeonjun, you yourself come first when it comes to happiness."

"What do you suggest I should do?" Yeonjun asked.

"Well, for starters, you could go out more often instead of burying yourself with work and spending hours here. Don't you have other friends?"

"Not many."

"Well, why don't you try to get along with Beomgyu?"

Yeonjun stared at him.

"Are you crazy?!"

"I'm not crazy, but I'm giving you a suggestion Yeonjun. Maybe you should try to get to know Beomgyu a little better, and maybe, he's not as bad as you think."

The ravenette scoffed.

"Not as bad as I think? He's a pain in the ass!"

"Oh? Enlighten me then."

He did, and that only left Yoongi in a laughing mess.

"Aish, you two are so chaotic."

"It's not funny Hyung!" Yeonjun whined.

"I'm just teasing you. But in all seriousness, I think you should try. Try to make some things better for you, okay?"

"Why?"

"Don't you think Soobin would want you to be happier, even if you're without him? I think every partner wishes happiness for their loved one."

Yeonjun just sat there.

Should I?
