Butterflies settle in my stomach as my plane touched down. I was here; finally in Montana.
I hadn't seen the Taylor's in months. Shannon Taylor was my former psychiatrist. We had gotten close over time, and her family and mine became friends. She helped me through my hardships, up until she moved out here to start her retreat.
Shannon Taylor was a saint. She did everything she could to help those in need. She did everything in her power to help heal me. I wasn't looking forward to her reaction to what I had recently done.
Like everyone else, she would be disappointed in me. She would expect more of me.
I stepped off the plane and walked through the terminal to go gather my bags. The Taylors told me they'd meet me there.
Standing by the round a bout, I only wondered what this trip would bring for me. Did I make the best choice for myself? I wasn't running away from my past was I?
I couldn't be. I came here for help. To reach out.
