Haymitch is Katniss' mentor. He gets drunk a lot. He is the only living tribute in District 12 other than Katniss and Peeta that won the hunger games. He won't he 50th hunger games.
In the Quarter Quell reaping, Haymitch gets his name drawn by Effie Trinket and Peeta volunteers for him.
