In a world where society's rank and labels are determined by status and species — Angels, Devils and Fallen.. angels..? —

"Shoyo! Wake up! You're gonna be late!" a mother's voice called out from downstairs of a two story house. "..ugh.." a sleepy groan can be heard under the covers. A hand slid out of the covers and smacked the alarm clock to silence the annoying sound. "..what time is it...?" a hoarse and sleepy voice questioned, searching for his phone.
'7:30..'
"Shit! — I'm gonna be late!!" the boy hastily jumped out of his bed and frantically got ready as he was gonna be late for school. He did his morning essentials as fast as he could before hastily changing to his uniform and flying down the stairs. "Bye mom! I'll eat at school! Love you! Byeee!" the boy energetically bid his mom goodbye with a kiss on the cheek before flying out the door with a cheeky grin, not even bothering to listen to his mom's banter of a response on hiding his wings.

"Aghhh! — why does the world have to revolve around one's rank and species? — now I gotta hide my wings everytime I go out.." i sighed, tired of the world. "angels? devils?" i scoff, "I just wanna be free!" I shout as I hid my wings before switching to walking.
I like life but I hate this society. In this world where if you're born as an Angel, people will treat you normally but if you're lucky.. They can even treat you more highly rather than just normal. Being an Angel also meant that you were the standard of society. "I wonder what mom was like back then.. She must've been really pretty and popular.. She is an Angel after all.. hm.."
Being a Devil on the other hand was the exact opposite... Considering how stupidly blind society is with their standards and beliefs on Devils, they unbearably discriminate them. Simply basing on their stupid beliefs and teachings, telling that Devils are dangerous, aggressive and just overall a stain in society. While, some are true.. It wasn't 100% proven that all Devils were like that.. "Dad was never aggressive towards mom and me.. He was actually the opposite of all those beliefs society has against Devils. He was never one to be violent either. Even when he used to discipline me, he would scold me but in a gentle way.."
Tsk. All I know is — Mom and Dad love each other despite society's rules and standards and thus, I was born~ "Hehe" I chuckled to myself, finding my narration quite entertaining. Now.. you must be curious as to what i am, huh? — well..
"I'm neither! Hehe" i mumble to myself with a snicker, but.. my laugh secluded slowly, remembering things.
As I keep walking, I could see the arch on my school. I sighed knowing I was indeed thinking the same thing over and over again, every single day. "Another day, huh?" I tiredly sigh knowing that I have to go through hellish boredom again in my classes. As I kept walking, I bumped into a close friend and classmate of mine.
"Oii! Shoyo! — " He waved as he jogged over to me, putting an arm around my shoulder. "Goodmorning, Xen" I greeted. Yeah, we're first name basis close.
Kudoo Xen. My close friend and classmate. Species: Angel — Personality: A goofball on the outside but a serious and cold guy in the inside. When him and I hang out it's just most likely him, practicing flirting on me while I just brush him off sometimes. He's also the type of guy to jump into fights not knowing the cause, if it meant to protect his friends.
"Goodmorning~ — neh! Do you have practice again today?" He poked my cheek. "You know I always have practice after class except on Fridays. How bout you? How's Archery, Vice captain?~" I teased, knowing he didn't like being called that since he said, it reminded him of the overwhelming responsibilities of a Vice Captain. He just groaned before pinching my cheek. "Oow!" I wailed, rubbing my now red cheek.
"Oh?.. y'know, your wings are big" I took notice to it. I then gently put my hand on his left wing before patting it. "Right?~ I'm really proud of them hehe" He proudly said. "Come to think of it... You never told me what you are, Shoyo~. Did you choose to hide them?" He came close to my face as he asked. "I told you, I'm an Angel like mom" I respond, scratching my cheek. "Well, you don't have to hide your wings y'know, most of the school are Angels anyway.. plus, it's more fun! You get to fly around and be free more!" He laughed enthusiastically as he flew up before circling around me.
I shook my head at him before realizing we were now about to enter our classroom. Opening the door, I called to him as he was searching something in his bag "Neh Xen?"
"Hm?" He hummed, busy with his little scavenger hunt. "What do you call a..."
"Aha!!" He shouted, "There's my lollipop!" He happily twirled around, finally finding his precious strawberry flavored lollipop that he loved. I could only then laugh at him for being the idiot that he is. "What?! Y'know I love my lollipops!" He exclaimed, "I know, I know.. I guess you didn't hear me then, huh?" I asked "Ah- you said some-" He sheepishly scratched the back of his head.
"Nope!- it's nothinggg~" I cheekily waved it off as I headed to my seat, leaving him.
"Shoyo!!" He whined.
'Keeping the secret a secret? Check.'
I do wonder.. between heaven and hell... where do I reside?
