Chapter 2

"Okay, thank you Yeonjun honey. What would me and my animals do without you on our side?"

Yeonjun laughed.

"It's no biggie. I love animals, so I love doing this."

"Yes. You're a good person," Yoongi smiled, patting him on the back.

The black haired boy nodded and brought Mimi over to the baths, pouring water into the tub and setting him inside.

"Okay Mimi, we're gonna get you warm and cleaned up a little, and you can splash as much water as you want," he chuckled.

Mimi seemed to understand what he was saying, and immediately dipped his head into the water, whipping his head around, splashing the college boy wet.

But Yeonjun only laughed as he did that.

A playful dog is a happy dog, even if he's sick.

He squirted some dog soap on his hands and began to wash his ears, his tummy, and with a toothbrush suited for dogs, he cleaned his sharp teeth.

After bathing him, Yeonjun wrapped him up in a towel and rubbed him dry.

Then, he carried Mimi in his arms back to the main room, and while sitting down in a beanbag, he brushed his fur with a brush, massaging his warm tummy.

Mimi fell asleep in his lap, so when he was done grooming his fur, Yeonjun brought him to one of the beds in the medical department to give him privacy.

Once that was done, he did his usual routine around the pet shelter, helping Yoongi out with other things, or checking up on animals getting ready to be adopted.

"I'll go check if the medicine is ready Hyung," Yeonjun called as he grabbed his bag.

"Okay, see you Yeonjun!"

"Bye!"

He exited the pet shelter, and checked his phone for the email. Until he felt a pair of arms fling themselves around his shoulders, a weight against his back too, nearly causing him to collapse.

"WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!"

"Aww come on, don't act like you didn't miss me," a voice said from behind.

Yeonjun immediately recognized who it was just by that.

"Soobin!"

He turned around and gave his boyfriend a hug, burying his nose in his cinnamon scent. Oh how much he loves it at the end of a long tiring day.

"You didn't tell me you were going here today; the coffee got cold!" Soobin huffed, pouting.

Yeonjun chuckled and pecked his forehead, standing a little on his toes for that.

"Sorry. I'll drink the coffee, even if it's cold."

"You would?"

"Of course!"

"YAY!!"

Soobin grinned, and took Yeonjun's hand into his own to hold it.

"Come on, let's go drink the coffee then!"

"Got it. But first..."

"What?"

"I need to make a pit stop at the medical school. One of the cocker spaniels is sick and needs medicine, I need to pick it up."

"Okay. Let's go together."

"Really?"

"Yeah, our movie night can be delayed by a few minutes, can't it?"

Yeonjun smiled.

"It can."

He squeezed his hand and together, the two walked down the street to the medical school a couple blocks away from the shelter.

Soobin has been Yeonjun's boyfriend since his last year of high school, which was roughly three years ago.

Whenever someone asks how it all came to be, Yeonjun didn't gave many details.

Just that he met him when he really needed someone in his life.

Soobin has been there with him through everything since then, becaming his shoulder to lean on during hard times.

Likewise to how Yeonjun was the reason for Soobin to wake up in the mornings, wanting to make breakfast for him and to shower him with affection.

Even when Yeonjun graduated and Soobin was still in high school, they kept their relationship going no matter what.

Now that both of them are in college, though in different universities, they could also finally move in together, and shared an apartment not too far away from the Han River.

Yeonjun knew how happy and lucky he was to have someone like him in his life; he's his only light as he would say.

And he knows that Soobin feels the same.
