"You just seen me." I giggled.
"And?" He asked pecking my lips.
I smiled before sitting on the couch, he sat beside me before laying his head in my lap.
"So how was it shopping?" He asked.
"The shopping was good, thank you by the way." I said.
He smiled.
"You're welcome." He said.
"But lunch was...different." I said.
"How different?" He asked.
I sighed before I began telling him about the conversation I had with Marley.
"She can't be serious. She fucking said that?" He asked.
"Yeah, like I wasn't good enough to get a guy like you...and the fucked up part about it is...I believed her." I sighed.
"Gorgeous, I approached you...I wanted you. I needed you, not the other way around. You're not ugly and you can get any guy you want. Don't fucking try it though, but you are beautiful so fuck what she said." He said.
I blushed and shook my head.
"Yeah, I know. It just bothered me that's all." I said.
He looked at me and shook his head.
"Do you want me to kill her?" He asked.
I laughed.
"No, she's not worth it." I giggled.
He chuckled and pulled me close.
"You know, you're the first woman I've ever love." He said.
"Come on don't gas me up." I said.
"No seriously, I've had flings..don't get me wrong but as for love? I've never loved anyone as much as I love you." He said.
I felt my heart burst into flames as he held my hand.
"I love you too." I said.
"Marry me." He said.
My eyes widen as I looked at him like he was crazy.
"What?" I asked.
"Marry me, I won't love anyone else the way I love you." He said sitting up.
"Jay." I said shaking my head.
"Marry me." He said pecking my face.
I shook my head as a smile formed on my lips.
"Marriage is a lot of work." I said.
"I don't care." He said.
"You don't even have a ring." I laughed.
"I can buy one immediately." He said.
"We've only been together for half a year." I said.
"Say yes." He said.
"But we don't even know what it would be like to live together yet." I said.
"We aren't getting any younger...I'm 35 years old and you're 29. We love each other...and I am confident we can get through just about as much as anything together. So fucking say yes." He said.
"Yes, fuck it yes." I laughed.
"For real?" He asked.
"For real." I laughed.
I laughed and nodded.
"I can't believe we're about to do this." He said sitting up.
"You? I can't believe I said yes." I giggled.
"You ain't have a choice anyway." He shrugged.
I grabbed a pillow and hit him.
"I'm just joking, but on a serious note. Do you really want to get married?" He asked.
"If it's you then hell yeah no doubt." I said.
He chuckled and grabbed my hand.
"We will be engaged though, I'm not saying we have to plan a wedding this year or next year. I want you to wear a ring on your finger because I want people to know that's the end goal." He said.
"I could marry you right now, tomorrow, next week or next year. I don't care." I smiled.
He smiled before placing his lips on mine. Jesus this man was going to be the death of me.
