Chapter 7

Chase's POV

We have a cheerleading competition today about an hour away at this big outdoor stadium in some park. Avery, Chelsea, my mom, and I are all driving to it together.

"Nice ass." I herd somebody say. I turned around to see a smirking Hunter.

"Get a life." I said rolling my eyes at him

"I actually do have one. Got a nice little date planned for the afternoon." he said nodding his head towards his truck. A brunette girl was sitting in the car looking bored as ever.

"She looks like a keeper." I said my voice sounding flat

"You know Chaz jealousy really doesn't look good on you." he said pulling at my ponytail. I smacked his hand away.

"I am not jealous. I could care less who you date or let alone sleep with. Now if you excuse me I have to go win a competition." I said walking away

"I think you guys should shorten your uniforms just a tad bit. The judges I think would love to see more nudity." he said laughing. I didn't even bother turning around I just gave him the finger which made him laugh a lot more.

On the way to the competiton I stalked Hunter's instagram. He has over 1000 followers and over 500 likes on every picture. Most of the comments were from girls saying how hot he was and leaving their numbers. Most of the pictures he posts are of him and the guys partying or them smoking weed. I was trying to click on one picture when I accidently hit the follow button. Shit I thought.

"Okay we are here! Good luck girls! Knock'em dead!" my mom cheered as she parked

"Fuck I didn't know the flamingos were doing this competition." Avery mumbled. The Flamingos are our enemies in cheerleading. They cheer for a really rich school in the next town over. Their team always wins nationals every year for the past four years now. Their captain Molly and I do not get along.

"Hey sluts long time no see." Molly said wasting no time in coming up to us

"Hey hoe how have you been?" I asked smirking

"Pretty good. Surprised you guys even had the guts to show up when you know we are going to win." she said now both our squads backing us up

"You shouldn't be so cocky. It will probably come back and bite you in the ass someday." I said 

"Well I know we are just that good." she said just as the announcer called for them to get ready since they were up next

"Oh what was that? Did they just call for the flaming hoes? I think that is you guys." I said making my whole team laugh

"Whatever. See you at the winner's circle. Oh wait I'm sorry you guys wouldn't know what that is since you never win. Woops." she said giving me a pouty face before walking off to do their routine.

"Okay their routine is good but ours is better. Just have fun and remember to smile. Don't let Molly get to you." I told my squad before performing our routine

We ended up coming in first while the flamingos came in second. The look on Molly's face was priceless. My mom was having a girl's night with her friends so Avery and Chelsea are sleeping over. We just celebrated our big win with hoagies and cheese fries and all this junk food.

"Ugh I think I ate enough for a whole month." Chelsea said plopping down on the couch

"Me too. I feel like I have such a food baby." I said making them laugh

"What do you guys want to do now?" Chels asked

"How about a scary movie? I brought over The Purge!" Avery said. After ten minutes of arguing both Chelsea and I finally gave in and we watched it. Half way through the movie we were all smushed down in the couch covering our faces with pillows. We all heard a loud crash on the front porch and paused the movie.

"It is probably just the wind. It looks like it is about to storm." I said just as lighting cracked and it began to pour. I was about to turn the movie back on when we heard another noise.

"That is not the wind! That sounds like footprints!" Avery exclaimed

"Well you go check the door!" I exclaimed back

"No it is your house!" she replied

"Okay fine how about all three of us go open the door." I grabbed a stool from the kitchen, Avery grabbed a glass decorative plate off the mantel, and Chelsea grabbed the extension to the vaccuum cleaner. 

"Okay I will open it on three okay? 1, 2, 3!" I yelled and whipped the door open

"Do not swing!" Hunter yelled running into the house. The guys all followed behind him.

"Lock the door!" Marco exclaimed and I quickly did.

"Turn off all the lights too!" Drew yelled

"No it is storming outside. What is even going on?" I asked confused

"Just do it Chase please?" Hunter asked me all out of breath. I turned off all the lights and sat down on the couch in between Chelsea and Avery.

"Now what is going on or all of you are going home." I said annoyed now

"We got into some trouble tonight." Hunter said shaking the water out of his hair

"What kind of trouble?" Chelsea asked

"We broke into school tonight and spray painted a lot of the lockers and broke windows and some stuff in the science lab. Somebody tipped off the cops and they came and busted us and we all took off running. They have been to Hunter's house before so we thought why not come here." Drew explained to me

"And what were you guys going to do to us when you opened the door? Beat us to death? Chase you can't even kill bugs in biology class." Hunter said making all the guys laugh

"Well you guys kept making all these noises. We thought it was a creepy murderer." Avery explained

"That was dumbass one and dumbass two over here who couldn't keep their balance." Drew said pointing to Jake and Matt. 

"Wait how do the police even know where you live Hunter?" I asked him

"This isn't my first run in with the cops babe." he said winking at me

"I'm not sure if that is something to be proud of." I said glaring at him

"His Mom is also dating the new police chief." Drew added

"Drew shut the fuck up." Hunter said through gritted teeth

"They are probably going to be circling for a while." Marco said. He was crouched by the window looking out at the cop cars whiz by.

"Well you guys are more than welcome to stay the night, we don't mind." I said 

"Wow I didn't know you wanted to get into my pants that badly Chaz. All you had to do was ask." Hunter said. I could see his smirk even in the darkness

"On second thought everybody can stay but you. Have a nice night sitting in a jail cell." I said and all the guys oooed

"Fiesty tonight. Down girl." he said talking to me like I was an animal or something

"So what made you idiots trash school?" Avery asked after smirking at me because this is the first conversation she witnessed between me and Hunter. I am probably going to have to here all about it tomorrow morning.

"Hey we can be smart at times. And we were bored and thought it would be funny to spray paint the freshman lockers and watch them be all confused on Monday. But obviously the doors were locked so we smashed the windows to get them open." Drew explained

"Are you guys trying not to graduate?" Chelsea asked

"Trust me we are graduating. All the teachers want us out of that school." Marco replied

For the rest of the night we just hung out, ate, and talked. Everybody fell asleep before me and right when I was about to fall asleep a thought popped into my head. Oh my God we are helping them get hide from the police. We are so dead!
