III: Cry for Understanding

It feels like a cage, with bars so tight,
No matter how I struggle, I can't take flight.
Courage fills my heart, yet I remain bound,
Trapped in this life that keeps me earthbound.

Responsibilities weigh heavy on my shoulders,
Each day a battle, as I grow older.
But amidst the chaos, does anyone see,
That I too am weary, longing to be free?

The weight of expectations, pressing down,
Leaving me breathless, struggling to drown.
Yet in the silence, I cry out for release,
Yearning for a moment of inner peace.

So I'll continue to push, to fight, to strive,
Hoping one day, I'll truly thrive.
But until then, I plead for understanding,
For recognition that my soul is demanding.

I may be strong, but I'm not invincible,
And sometimes, even warriors feel vulnerable.
So see me, hear me, acknowledge my plea,
For even the strongest need empathy.
