As they continued to explore, they stumbled upon a hidden room deep in the basement. The air inside was thick and heavy, and the walls seemed to press in on them. Emily's skin crawled as she noticed strange symbols etched into the walls, seeming to pulse with a malevolent energy.
"Guys, look at this," Matt said, his voice low and serious. "I think we've found what we're looking for."
In the center of the room, a large, ornate box sat atop a dusty pedestal. The box seemed to emanate an otherworldly glow, and Emily could feel its power calling to her.
"Let's open it," Jake said, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
But Sarah hesitated, her eyes fixed on the symbols. "I don't think that's a good idea. This feels wrong."
Emily agreed, but Matt's curiosity got the better of him. He reached out, and as soon as his hand touched the box, the symbols on the walls began to glow brighter.
Suddenly, the room was plunged into darkness, and the group was left standing in silence. Then, a low, ominous whisper seemed to come from all around them...
"Welcome to Shadow House. You'll never leave."
