Exercise : 

1. Saya nak minum kopi, bolehkah awak tolong pesankan untuk saya?

British English: I'd like a cup of coffee, could you please order it for me?

British Slang : I fancy a brew, can you sort me out?

2. Boleh, nanti saya akan pesan. Sila tunggu disini sekejap ya?

British English : Sure, I'll order later. Just hang on here for a bit, yeah?

British Slang : Yeah, I'll sort it out later. Just chill here for a bit, yeah?

3. Malam ini sejuk sekali, saya rasa nak pakai baju sejuk lah tapi saya hanya ada dua helai baju sejuk sahaja.

British English : Tonight is really cold, I feel like wearing a jumper but I only have two jumpers.

British Slang : Tonight is proper chilly, I fancy chucking on a jumper but I've only got two jumpers.

4. Saya sakit kepala, boleh awak dapatkan minyak angin cap kapak untuk saya?

British English : I've got a headache, could you get me some axe brand oil?

British Slang : I've got a banging headache, could grab me some axe?

5. Kalau kau kahwin nanti jangan lupa undang aku tau! Aku pun nak jugak tengok kau naik pelamin.

British English : If you get married later, don't forget to invite me, okay! I also want to see you walk down the aisle.

British Slang : If you get hitched, don't forget to invite me, yeah! I wanna see you tie the knot too.

6. Kau nak minum kopi ke teh? Biar aku buatkan.

British English : Do you fancy a cuppa tea or coffee? Let me sort it out for you.

British Slang : You fancy a brew or a cuppa? Let me sort it out for ya.

7. Aku suka tengok filem seram tapi aku takut hantu.

British English : I like watching horror films but I'm scared of ghosts.

British Slang : I proper love watching scary movies but I'm proper scared of ghosts.

8. Kegagalan buah pinggang.

British English : Kidney failure.

British Slang : Kidney flop.

9. Hai nama saya Rose, saya berusia 28 tahun dan berasal dari Malaysia. Awak pula?

British English : Hello, my name's Rose, I'm 28 years old and I'm from Malaysia. What about you?

British Slang : Hi, I'm Rose, I'm 28 and I'm from Malaysia. What about you?

10. Panas betul cuaca hari ni, bilalah nak mendung ni? Habis berpeluh badan aku.

British English : It's proper hot today, when's it gonna cloud over? I'm sweating buckets.

British Slang : It's proper roasting today, when's it gonna chuck it down? I'm sweating like a pig.

11. Berapa harga dua ikat sayur ni?

British English : What's the price of these two bunches of vegetables?

British Slang : How much for these two veg, mate?

12. Helo tumpang tanya, jalan nak pergi ke stesen keretapi arah mana ya?

British English : Hello, excuse me, which way to the train station?

British Slang : Alright mate, which way to the train station?
