One Helluva Time

The Forth V

Y/n: Well, it's a pleasure to meet you in person, Velvette. I'm--

Velvette: I know who you are, darling. You're Y/n fucking L/n, Hells top drug dealer and one of the Vees. And if I had to guess, the others are somewhere in bere too?

Y/n: *chuckles* All true, all true. Is there a place where we can all talk in private?

Velvette: My office, we'll talk there

And with that, Velvette walked off and Y/n then went to go find Vox and Valentino. After grabbing them, the three made their way to Velvette's office to talk business. Of course, Valentino ended up buying a shit ton of clothes he wouldn't likely use. And both Y/n and Vox had to drag him through the store to Velvette's office. Once they were all in Velvette's office, the four began to talk business. And Vox made it clear that the three of them, or mostly him, wanted Velvette to join the Vees. As Vox and Velvette talked, Valentino was off to the side, board out of his mind.

Y/n, on the other hand, was looking around Velvette's office. It was your typical office with a managers desk, a view of the area, and other things. But Velvette also had some supplies for her to design clothes. She even had a few chemicals storied in a nearby cabinet, likely for making potions. Needless to say, Y/n was interested by both Velvette and her fashion designs. And Y/n also was interested by the more modern looking phone she had. As he and the other Vees had flip phones made from the late 1990's. Y/n figured it was likely some sort of "turn of the century" type of deal. And it proved how much humanity has evolved technology wise since he died over thirty years ago.

Vox: Hey, Y/n.

Y/n: Yeah?

Vox: Velvette here says she can change a persons clothes at will. You mind having her try it out on you so I can see for myself?

Y/n: I... guess not?

Y/n wasn't a hundred percent sure about Vox's suggestion. But that didn't mean he wasn't a little curious to see if what Vox said was true. So with a flick of the wrist, Velvette snapped her finger to show off her skills. And much to the others surprise, Y/n was in a brand new outfit. This one being a dark blue overcoat and pants, brand new black dress shoes, and a red undershirt with a white tie. Needless to say, the three Vees were all impressed by Velvette's ability. Velvette even took a picture on her phone to post it later on, which also got their attention.

Y/n: I've never seen a phone like that, is it mew?

Velvette: You bet your arse it is, along with social media too.

Of course, Velvette had to explain what social media was. On the account the others died between the mid to late 1900's and all. Apparently, with the recent improvements in technology, Earth was moving to the future. Humans were able to develop a world wide web, or the internet as it's called. And with that came not only new phones, but other advances like drones and computers. And the internet can allow one to look up anything at the click of a button. The internet also came with creating social media sights such as applications, or apps, like Facebook and Twitter.

After some more discussions, Velvette agreed to join the Vees. And in the end, everyone was going to get something they wanted. Velvette would rise up to the rank of Overlord and becoming a well-known Vee. And the others not only got a new recruit, but they would be able to modernize. So the day ended pretty well, especially now that there were four Vees. Y/n was just glad that things didn't end in a blood bath or something. As Y/n was about to leave with the others, Velvette stopped him. And then she gave him a slip of paper with her number on it.

Velvette: Be sure to call sometime. You need an improvement with your wardrobe, darling.

Y/n: I'll be sure to take you up on that offer sometime. And if you ever find yourself in Imp City, be sure to visit me at my downtown office.

Velvette: Oh, I will.

After that, Y/n gave his number to Velvette before leaving. She had agreed to come by V Tower the next day to get settled in. So with Velvette now a member of the Vees, who knows what will happen. With her knowledge of social media, it would give them an edge over the other Overlords. It was good, because tensions with Carmilla have been a bit high lately. On the account Valentino had tried to rip her off on a weapons deal a few months ago. Long story short, Valentino wanted to get some new firepower. But he only paid half of the price that Carmilla had wanted for the guns.

So naturally, she only gave Valentino half of the weapons. And she wouldn't give him the rest until he had paid the full price. The two of them ended up getting into a huge fight about it too. And it took Y/n, Vox, and Carmilla's two daughters to hold them both back. Since then, Carmilla refused to do any sort of business with the Vees until Val would apologize and pay the rest of the money. So to make sure they had guns and ammo, Y/n opened up his own weapons factory. Though it only took a week for Carmilla to get word of the news. And let's just say that she was very upset about it too.

Y/n and Carmilla had gotten into a disagreement on Y/n's new business. Though he did try to explain, Carmilla refused to listen. And in the end, she refused to do business with Y/n until he shut the factory down. So yeah, having Velvette on their side definitely would give them an advantage. With her knowledge of social media, the Vees could spread their influence to new heights. And on the way back to V Tower, Y/n knew what Vox was thinking. No doubt he was planning to make modern phones, computers, and drones too. All so he could get more of Hells population under his control.

That's one of the many things Y/n respects about Vox. They were both opportunists, taking chances to grow in power. And they built up their power through smart power moves and respect. But Valentino, he had built his business through fear, murder, and intimidation. Sure, Y/n wasn't against killing off any competition if he had too. But Valentino would kill anyone who even looked at him weird. And it's caused Y/n to start having a disliking for Valentino. And Y/n had hoped that Velvette was nowhere near the level of Valentino's psychotic behavior. But as of right now, only time will tell to see what truly happens. And who knows, maybe things will turn out better in more ways than one.
