"Aine! Get up, it's time for school! Don't forget you promised to help me with the game today!"
Aine rolled over in her warm bed, regretting the foolish promise she made to her aunt for her birthday.

"Oba-chan, I don't know what to get you for your birthday."
"Ahh, my dear, it won't be a surprise if I have to tell you, ha?"
"Give me an idea, you have everything."
"I do not! You're just like your mother! My younger sister always did this to me. Is it too much to ask for a surprise?"
"Okay..."
"Actually!"
"? "
"I do have something!"
"But you said it had to be a surprise."
"I take it back. Help me manage the team for our grand finals! We have to win so we can go to nationals! Kira, my star player, will get us there, but he might need a little push."
"..."
"Pleaseee, for your oba-chan?"
"Ok."
"YAYYYY, I'm the luckiest! I'm the luckiest!" she exclaimed, doing a weird little dance.
♡♡Flashback End♡♡
Ever since Aine started high school, her aunt Yumi had been asking her to join or even manage the soccer team. Aine's response was always a blank stare that clearly meant no. She had sworn off any type of sport, content to study, go home, play games, and sleep. Nothing was important enough to make her stop. Her aunt begged and moaned, insisting Aine was made for this, but something within her kept her away from using her specific skill set.
"I'm coming," Aine mumbled under her breath. She got up, put on her uniform, tucked her dress shirt into her skirt, and threw on her blazer with the bold label that read "Matasukaze Kokuou."

"Oba-chan?"
"Hm?"
"Who are you playing today?"
"Ichinan, my dear."
Aine mumbled her confirmation, walking three steps behind her aunt to the field. When they finally reached the pitch, her aunt brought the boys in for a huddle. Team spirit, work hard—Aine tuned it out, finding it uninteresting.
Instead, she looked to the other side of the field to see if there were any outstanding talents or threats.
