STELLA

"SO WHAT is your hobby?" The voice across from me was being drowned out by my own thoughts, fingers snapping in front of my face bringing me back to reality.

"Huh?" I blinked, shaking my head. "Sorry."

Leon chuckled lightly, running a hand over his slicked back hair. "Am I boring you that much?"

I pulled my bottom lip between my teeth, mentally punching myself. "No, I, uh, I just zone out some times."

"Yeah." Leon nodded, seemingly not buying it but not digger further. "So, what's your hobby? Why are you in Sweden?"

"I'm a figure skater." I admitted. "But I'm coaching right now. I'm in this program where we travel and help out teams."

Leon raised his brows, finishing the last bit of his food. "Wow, that's nice. Is this your first time?"

"No." I said, my throat suddenly growing dry, closing in like I was having an allergic reaction. My eye-line fell behind the blond boy sitting before me and towards the small table in the back of the outdoor restaurant.

"Lady and the Tramp?" Jack cocked a brow at me, watching the noodle dangle from my fork, looking at me like I was a mad woman.

But he still did it, finishing it off with a soft peck to my lips. I never wanted to leave his side.

"Really?" Leon hummed, keeping the conversation remotely about me. "Why'd you come here?"

I wanted to beg him to not make me talk about it, to wipe my memory clean of all the things that consumed him.

"It's a long story." I chuckled awkwardly, shifting in my seat. "It's quite boring as well."

"I don't think anything you say is boring, Stella." Leon tilted his head to the side, in a manner that would be seen as charming to other woman. For me, I didn't feel anything.

I forced a small smile, my heart yearning, begging myself to feel something for Leon. But I didn't. It was a cycle I had been in for two years.

In simpler terms, I was searching for you in every person I meet. I turn up empty-handed every time.

"That's sweet." I scrunched my nose slightly. "Enough about me. What do you do?"

"Well, I'm studying business right now." Leon explained. "But, on the side I finance a little league skating company."

I widened my eyes, raising my brows. "Seriously? That's cool. What kinda skating company?"

"Oh, hockey." Leon flashed me a bright smile, which only seemed to dull my own.

A six letter word that seemed to shatter me, again. I tucked my hair behind my ears, taking a long, silent sip of my water.

"How do you like Sweden?" Leon asked, sensing my shift.

I dug my fork into the strawberry cheesecake growing cold as I hummed softly. "It's beautiful here. It's always been a dream travel destination of mine."
