I actually liked Davina and Kol's dynamic; I thought that it was very cute and that they just worked together. Not to mention, it gave Kol some much needed characterization. However, I kind of have the same problem with this ship that I have with Marcel and Rebekah being a couple. To elaborate, in my eyes, Marcel treated Davina kind of like his adoptive daughter, and with Marcel himself being kind of like Klaus's adoptive son, it just feels strange to have Kol, Klaus's brother, dating Davina.
On the flip side, the Mikaelson's never treated Davina like anything other than someone Marcel knows or an asset to be used. Quite frankly, they didn't care for her and they had no history with her, unlike with Rebekah and Marcel. That's why I'm conflicted. The ship dynamic is top tier-- a vampire who's very into witchcraft and a powerful, talented, smart witch-- I just think that had it been with someone else, I would have loved this relationship wholeheartedly.
