Out of despair and not much choice, Soundwave was
forced to fight the predacon as he simply, and quite
literally, needed the energon "for his life." Thus, he
started devising a plan. He knew he could not equal the
predacon in a fair fight. He had two options, either to
take him down by combat or to not at all. The former
simply seemed too much unpractical. Thus, Soundwave
decided to go through stealth. "Think, Wave, think" he
said to himself. The basic structure of the plan was
simple, to distract the predacon, and to steal the
energon. "What could possibly go wrong?" he thought.
Now, he needed to fill in the blanks.
"What is to be the distraction? How much time would it
require to steal the entire heap? What is the estimated
speed of the beast? And more importantly, what forms
of utter wildness would it project upon me, if it is to
catch me?" the questions crowded his mind. He looked
around, here and there, only to his dismay to find
nothing around. He kept brainstorming ideas. Suddenly
an idea flashed his mind.
He remembered that after having reached Shockwave's
resources, he had healed his communicative tools
partially with the available resources. To take down his
adversary, however, this was not enough, for the

Predacons were one of the fastest creatures, that had
ever lived on Cybertron, and trying to distract one of
them and steal the energon was equivalent to
committing suicide. He needed to set up a trap. "A beast
this big is not weak enough to be taken down by simple
combat blasters, it needed something bigger, something
louder" he thought to himself. Then, he realized. Having
spent years as a decepticon tactcian had finally paid off.
"Plasmas grenades, explosives which can completely
vaporize a cybertronian if used properly, are always in
stock in decepticon institutions." Same was true for
Shockwave's research labs. Luckily, Soundwave had
picked up just one grenade for situations like this, as
there was grossing one that Shockwave had been
working on.
He had a perfect plan. But he was not sure if those
grenades were going to work properly cause it had been
a long since it was left on the vaults and secondly there
was no guarantee that Shockwave had finished working
on it. There was a very high risk on using them. The
Decepticons would have won the war and nuked
Cybertron and Autobots if they had used some of those,
but they were afraid because they knew well, if there
were any malfunctions within these grenades, as the
chances were high because Shockwave, the Decepticon
scientist had not till then devised it entirely and not
approved, the latter who is using it literally throwing it,
would die. No matter of injury, direct death, within a
matters of miliseconds. And remind you, Megatron was

too much serious and kind, when it came to HIS, doesn't
matter city or people. He valued for every single recruit
of his. Although he was dumb enough to loose several
thousands of HIS during the Great War.
"The beasts has only one weakness, only one, that is
sound of high frequency." Soundwave remembered the
words of Megatron, which were told to him when was
sent for a drill to 'PRETON' i.e the city of the Predacons.
Wave did the same. He hacked into the Beast's comms,
and proceeded to broadcast a sound of frequency,
almost more 35,000 Hertz, and amplitude so high, it
shrieked painfully. (Don't ask how could he do that, he
had been the chief surveillance officer of the
Decepticons, i.e playing with sound rather amplitudes

and frequencies.)
As it flied like an insane eagle, it flied far away from the
heap of energon. Though, not a safe distance,
Soundwave, out of both sheer kindness and resentment,
decided to put the beast out of its misery, by throwing
the plasma grenade at it. The beast, out of survival
instincts, tries to dodge the grenades but wasn't able to,
for its nervous system was no more responding partially,
and it could only kick the air with its giant legs. The plan
went almost perfectly, if it weren't for one small
complication. THE BEAST KICKED THE GRENADE AROUND
6-7 METRES NEAR SOUNDWAVE!
Wait, the story has not finished yet.
Although Wave tried to escape, he couldn't save himself
completely. As the grenade blasted near him, flying him
away, he felt an strom of 8k mph blowing through him.
But luckily, to be mentioned, Shockwave didn't complete
the project 'Plasmags' and that's why, Soundwave was
ALIVE.
He was heavily wounded, blue energon dripping out of
him. Ironic, the very thing he did so much for was also
what he was slowly losing. Paralyzed from the shock
waves and the adrenaline rush from the explosion,
Soundwave laid on the ground, with his life flashing by
before his eyes. He was ready to embrace death like an
old friend, to reunite with his former, Primus.

From partners, he thought of friends, he thought of
Megatron who wanted him on Earth, but more
importantly, he thought of Laserbeak and his other dead
pets. The want for vengeance fueled him. The anger
within powered him. The hatred within motivated him.
He was kept alive by his dark side. The moment he
undestood, why their loving and respected leader is so
rude. He understood why all the Decepticons chose to be
a Decepticon. Why he himself chose to be one. It was
'Revenge' and 'Sorrowness' together.
He dared to move a finger, then his arm, then supporting
his body weight with his arms, he managed to get up.
Soundwave was deeply injured. If only he did not had his
visor that day, the entire dead planet would've heard his
screams of pain, and would've shivered. The suppression
of his feelings amplified his pain manifolds. As he slowly
got up, deeply injured, slowly moved towards the heap

of energeon, but soon his mind diverged and he longed
to see the predacon. Wave advanced his steps towards
the beast, slowly, really slowly. As he had reached where
the beast laid, not dead till, was amazed to see it, still
holding a piece of energeon in his hands. The sight of
which, filled Soundwave's spark with huge respect for
the Predacon. He hadn't seen such a loyal creature ever.
The beast, counting for death, saw Soundwave, the one
who was the reason for his situation. But he was not
raged to see him. He spelled "Do whatever but don't take
the piece of energeon from my hand. My master must be
needing that."
Soundwave could not believe his audio receptor and his
optics. "I cannot let him die, at least not like this." He
started to search for something, with which he can mend
some of the wounds of the beast. But he was too late.
The Predacon's spark stopped beating. The yellow rays
from his optics went off. And with a very heavy heart
Wave had to say that THE BEAST WAS NO MORE.
But Soundwave was not ready to accept him as a beast.
He was not a beast at all. From no ways. It was the time
for Soundwave, to say goodbye to him. With a huge
respect in his spark, Soundwave started greeting him.
The last greet. And finally, Wave gave him a bow of
reverence and went off.
Moving towards the heap of energeon painfully,
grabbing it, he decided to return. With every step feeling
like a mile. Pain was what kept him alive that day, and

vengeance, was what kept him motivated to reach Kaon.
"Mission accomplished" he thought, to somehow soothe
his pain. Although the process was delayed due to
unexpected complications, he survived the day.
Unfortunately, he couldn't gather the other materials like
the cyber ferric ingot, due to obvious reasons. What felt
like an eternity to reach the research base, was just a
single night. Although Soundwave completed his mission,
was it truly a victory? The loyal beast lost his life only for
the sake of him, his activity. Did the loss not outweigh
the gains tenfold? More importantly, Could Soundwave
somehow 'fix' himself?
But only then, something stricked his brain, his death,
which was about to devour him but was somehow
postponed.

He thus, with a new hope and a new sort of
fuel, namely 'THE QUEST', decided not to quit the game.
He, for once, felt that Primus himself had given him
another chance And he was, from then, living an extra
life, which was only meant for completing his QUESTS.
